Yay, changes. These changes are good, I like them.Sulliv9 wrote...
This is ridiculous! You people have to wait ONE extra day and yet you would think the whole world was coming to an end for all the talk on here. I for one am actually happy that the scions cannon is being nerfed along with buffs to a few of the more buff-requested guns. If I have to wait another day for these buffs along with another character then I am happy enough to do so.
What I have to ask, though is "whay are they delayed, again?" Also, why did he say "looking at giving them buffs?" If it's the time and effort required in making these changes, as so many people claim as the reason for delays, then why is it that, less than 24 hours before they will be out, things are still being "looked at?"
If it is true that it takes so much time and effort, then these changes must be complete by now.
Is anyone else bothered by this?

Without getting too ranty (because this really bothers me), I want to
know why Bioware and other game companies think this is an okay thing.
This is their JOB, to fix issues with their game. You have people
dedicated to fixing all sorts of issues, why can't they complete it
within a given deadline? If I am given a task at work to do with a time
limit, and I consistently do not complete it within that limit, I will
most likely get fired and will be replaced by a more efficient worker.
Game design is no different, so why are people openly okay with this? If
you don't think you are able to get the fixes out in time, then you
work overtime and work your ass off until they are finished, not say "Oh
look, it's 5 o' clock, time to go home, guess we'll pick this up
tomorrow."
I can't help but agree. Bioware, you need to get your act together. AC3 JUST came out, Halo 4 comes out next week, and then even MORE massive games after THAT. This is NOT helping you keep players.
It was already a poor enough choice to drag out the character releases for 3 whole months...
Agreed to both of the above ^^^
Agreed. It's a bit suspicious that every time we get a "oh this will be delayed" it comes at around 4:30p-4:45p MDT (which is where Edmonton resides in the grand scheme).
To those who say: "Oh, it's just a game, chill", no, I won't. It's not about it being a game. It's about setting goals and meeting them. You don't initiate change by taking what you are given and pretending to like it. I'd like to hold BW to a better standard. If you have a set day your updates are slated to come out, meet it. If you need to delay the product a day, throw out an announcement in the morning hours not when most of your staff is going to be going home for the day. That way, if you can get it out before the COB you are heroes to your players. Overdeliver or at least appear to instead of underdelivering.
The BW Austin krewe still hasn't gotten it through their heads and SWTOR has paid the price. ME3 isn't the cash cow that SWTOR was supposed to be, but I know some who have paid real money for BW points for packs. I'm sure it's at least moderately profitable.
Push yourselves to do better.

So
ya'll need to stop complaining about delays that serve to make sure the
updates are up to par just cause you have class, or work on that day.<_<
Serioulsy, get over it. Use the time to save more credits for the new kit or work on a challenge or two. or even spend some time off the game that , as much as you may think it does, does not revolve around you or your schedual.

I don't even believe you work in the field if you don't understand delays happen for a multitude of reasons. Just chill. This is non-essential update. Not a critical incident, not required to meet SLA.

So much whining in this thread over a damn delay... ugh.
Looking forward to those buffs, those weapons certainly could use them.
The amount of "#firstworldproblems" in this thread is certainly disgusting.

how many times have they been delayed out of the 30+ balance changes? your use of hyperbole in your posts is silly.jpraelster93 wrote...
Just make the changes always be on wensdays so you can avoid always "Delaying" them

It's not about that. It's about a patern of delays this game has gone through since its release, whether in the form of balance changes or comm packs or whatever else. As someone has already said, this would not fly in any other consumer-driven industry. Tell your boss he can have what's due today, tomorrow & do it on a regular basis & see how long you last before you're on the unemployment line.
The point is: don't set due dates if you RARELY hit them. So yeah, basically, w/ Halo & CoD releasing in the next 2 weeks, BW better get their **** together, this game barely stays in the top 20 on XBL as is & I'd imagine it's the same on Origin & PSN as well.

You are not their boss. You will take what they give you. You will like it.
