Opinions about those games aside, they're both going to destroy the sales of ME3, D3 & BL2 and ME3 is barely clinging to a top 20 game played on XBL w/o them released (hell, 4 cods & 2 Halos are higher on the list & some were released 5 years ago). So, it doesn't matter if you like CoD (I don't), it's still going to sell upwards of 40 million units....

Honestly I like it when COD releases another clone to their previous games...it weeds out a bunch of the people I generally don't enjoy playing with as they flood the latest "best thing since...Justin Bieber" game

About time they nerfed the Scions. I was afraid I would burn through my Medi-Gels quickly against Collectors. Anyway, I kinda knew the update would be on Halloween day, so at least I have one more day to get my fill of Hazards White and Glacier before tomorrow.

The best way to deal with whiners is to either meet your goals or adjust your goals. You can't promise something then consecutively fail to meet your deadline. If it keeps taking you longer, extend your due date to Wednesday or something like that. Sure people will complain about that, but eventually they'd get used to it. And the short term complaining will be far less of a problem than the consistent whining of people who don't get what they want when they expect it. Admittedly this is only the second time, but there are still plenty of weeks to go.

I've thought this myself. Does it really take an entire team eight days to find some numbers to change and change them?

Sometimes I feel like I could make more balanced decisions by myself in several hours.

You're forgetting about Q&A testing to see how those "numbers" work in actual gameplay experience. But hey, maybe you could offer BW your time as a tester.

Ahhh, but there is another - ignore.

In my opinion it's the best way to deal with whiners (once you get past the complete meltdown that they have when they realize their manipulation has been...nerfed).

Whining tends to be a tool used by spoiled people. If you check out almost any book on raising children you'll see that one of the most effective ways to diffuse whining is to not let the whiner be rewarded for their efforts. 

To be clear: Do I think companies should ignore their customer's concerns? No. They should ignore whining, particularly if it's over minor inconveniences

Hey Chi_Mangetsu, not to undermine the point you're trying to make. I agree that a lot of folks around here could calm down about the delayed changes. But, don't you think using the devastation caused by Hurricane Sandy as an excuse to get people to stop complaining is as disrespectful to the people caught in it as the ones here who say they "don't care"? If you really feel that strongly for those folks suffering out there there's lots more constructive things you can do to help them than arguing on an internet forum.

man i swear, there are alot of cry baby b!tches in here. really your going to cry about something that is entirely free. all of you criers out there are totally anoying. i rather dont mind waiting an extra day for free stuff. Hmm characters, new maps, upgrades--- all for free, yeah not going to gripe about that.

As others have mentioned, all of these new kits and maps are totally free, and throwing hissy fits over getting free stuff albeit a bit delays just stinks of ungratefulness.

About nerfing the Scion- far be it from me to complain about reducing that monster's damage. However I don't think that's the biggest problem.

The problem is it plays like a Ravager (except for tanking like a mother****er), essentially firing artillery at you. Except that where the Ravager shots carry a cool booming sound effect, Scion cannons make no noise at all, except for an "electric splash" if it happens to hit near you (or hit you).

So I think the real problem is we're being silent-scoped by a goddamn artillery cannon. I'll take the damage nerf- but I'd much rather you make the shot audible like a Ravager.

On the other hand, this is a forum specifically geared toward Mass Effect 3 multiplayer, and not Hurricane Sandy Disaster Awareness. Complaining about delays is part of the very purpose of this forum. Natural disasters that occur in the real world are largely irrelevant to the discussion. So, your bleeding heart BS is off-topic, whereas being disappointed in Bioware is on-topic. I'd rather see whining about ME3 than somebody who thinks tossing extra money at Red Cross like they're tipping their waiter at Denny's makes them a saintly hero.
