Why do you PUGs not get it into your thick heads. If its Wave 8 on Platinum and there's only 3 Pyros and 1 Atlas left standing USE YOUR MEDIGEL!!!!!!!!!!!! Image IPB

After topping the scoreboard all the way i got backstabbed by a Phantom from out of the blue. Then all 3 of the PUGs go down so im thinking "no problem they got plenty of gel ive only seen 2 of them use a single gel each. Did they gel? No, the stingey useless muppets sat there and let themselves bleed out without even hittng the space bar.

Stay out of Platinum games if you are not going to help your team!

Wanna know what's worse than that? Idiots who gel when you're standing right beside them. Why waste it? What're they trying to prove?

"NO I AM THE BEST I NEVER DIE I DON'T NEED YOUR HELP PEASANT I WILL WIN THIS GAME FOR US ALL AND YOU WILL JOIN MY CULT"

Typically I don't trust random players to revive me, so I gel right away if I won't get downed again right away or staggered to death. Too many times I could go down once in a later wave and get stomped out not seeing it coming and the rest players just die. That or the just stand beside my body shooting at an enemy across the map when they could easily revive without taking damage. The risk of not using the gel is not worth the reward of saving it when I don't go down that often.

If I am with a decent team and I see them reviving often I will stay down a bit longer if any are close, but other than that you can be sure I won't risk a failure at the loss of a medi-gel or two.

That's sad, I'm sorry.

I let my teammates try to revive me, and if they don't, I cycle through them all to see if they even tried to get to me. If they didn't, I try to see why they might not have, such as being cornered by a boss. If I see they didn't even try, and had nothing stopping them from helping me, I give them a bad player review and find satisfaction in knowing that I'll probably never play with them again. And if the team dies, then so what? They lose just as much as you do. If they weren't even trying, then they get the same crappy reward that you do, they don't get a free ride.

you know what else I hate?
When a phantom sneaks up behind your team, slashes at one of your teammates who runs for their life, giving NO WARNING whatsoever. and then the phantom immediatley sync kills you.

They should just make Phantom sync kill the character she has targeted, not other players, because it's silly.

Play gold only with people that use equipment consumables. From my experience those people are not afraid to use gel and rockets if necessery. 3 people with equipment consumables are more than enough for a gold game.

Gold/Platinum pugs are the worst. It's just a bunch of lazy scum that doesn't want to use equipment, rockets or medigels. They just want to be carried to victory (and $$$).

I've noticed a trend for awhile now (and even moreso now that there are credits for extraction). They won't use rockets/medigel until.... WAVE 11!!!!!!!!!!!!!

When they start croaking on the extraction wave, then here comes ALL the rockets and medi-gel. It's just disgusting. They're nowhere to be found on wave 10... when the real money is on the line. But at what is (roughly) the most useless time... that matters the least, they start rocketing everything (that insta-respawns anyway).

I hate Gold/Platinum pugs... 95% trash.

Silver pugs on the other hand... best pugs I've ever seen, pretty consistent too.

@Airealite: Don't feel sorry for me, I just don't enjoy losing even if it means I have to carry a whole team. I tend to stick with friends most of the time so it isn't a major issue or anything, just explaining why some people (like myself) would gel right away rather than wait and see if a teammate decides to revive me or not.

Even if I burn all my consumables in a game it makes no difference to me at this point so I will do it whether the team deserves the effort or not. My satisfaction comes when they have to sit there bored as I am running around killing everything since they decided not to gel or revive me if I go down.

That **** gets old.
What I do is make sure to keep them alive as this increases the chance they will med / rocket in the later rounds.

well, he said he only noticed two people use medigel one time each. Assuming he missed 2 medigel uses per person, that should still leave 3 medigel remaining each. If, however, you mean that they had no medigel when they entered the game, then that hypothetical person is either a complete moron or one of the most inconsiderate players I can think of. If you're that low on basic equipment, play a silver match and use the proceeds to purchase a JEP. Then play a gold or platinum PUG. Even if you're a quality player, it only takes a stray shot, staggering attack, or one enemy to sneak up on you for you to go down. Going into a match without medigel is saying that if you go down it's up to your teammates to make sure you're revived no matter what lies between your body and them. If they can't make it to you in time, then they're stuck doing both their job and your job, and in this case we're talking about a difficulty level that provides enough work for the whole team. Simply put, if you lack the basic essentials for a high level match, you shouldn't be joining the lobby.

Well, first let me say i avoid plat/gold matches cause my puter/internet won't support the game properly, so I generally play silver (the way the game runs on my puter it is equivalent to gold most of the time, and platinum sometimes. always behind by seconds, lagging, lucky to play with noobs that don't travel the map like a swarm of locusts, leaving nothing for me to shoot at.).

Silver games can often times eat gell up really quick. Unfortunately silver games won't replenish gell as fast as it is needed for me. The store can go 3 or 4 visits without selling me gell, so there are times that I have nothing but my anger of having to buy lots of stuff I didn't want to get nothing that I did, to get me through the game.

Yeah, I know, buy a new computer. Thing is, I just bought this one recently, and can't afford to to that again for a while. So, I guess I will play without gell, and you all can complain about me like I complain about how my game runs. That way we are all happy.

Try to keep a sense of humor here, as this is just a game, like the presidential elections. About the same connection to reality anyways. Now if I could just figure out how to really do singularity and reave.....

Or, you could buy a JEP. You're guaranteed to get at least 5 medigel, missiles, thermal packs, and ops survival packs every time. If you're that low, keep buying JEPs. You won't likely use all your medigel every match, so you'll start creating a medigel reserve. Once you have that, you can buy any pack you want without being a burden on anyone. Just a suggestion.

Yeah, I rarely do more than silver without at least a friend or two. I occassionally get bored and do a gold with all randoms. One match of hustling to keep everyone up without getting myself killed tends to cure me of boreom and back to silver PUGs I go.

i buy 2 JEP for each PSP, and since the patch i am over 100 medigels from none. and that's only running gold matches and some solo silvers for grabs and melee farming

Yeah...totally agree. It is quite annoying. This also happens when :
Havoc strike phantom----->sync kill
Biotic charge phantom----> sync kill
Shadow Strike phantom------>sync kill :crying:

People are probably low on medi-gel, and not wanting to buy packs because they are trying to save up to ensure getting the new character tomorrow. That's what I'm doing, although in the platinum/gold games I've been playing I'm dying maybe once or twice a match.

That doesn't really make sense in this case. We're talking about a later wave in a Platinum match. If they used all their consumables and made it through the wave 10 objective (not to mention the extraction bonus), then they could replace all of those consumables with a JEP and still have made a profit. Conversely, by letting their team wipe and missing out on the wave 10 objective, they cost themelves a fair amount of credits. It's called being penny wise and pound foolish (dollar dumb here in the U.S.).

Same here on FB:rio. Three guys, not using single medigel or rocket, bleed out on wave 10, after I carried them the whole match. (160K score for me, 40-60K for each of them. In total all three together were still 20K below my score... >_< ).

I raged a full minute via voice and I felt bad afterwards, but also good. :crying:

Problem is there is an assumption these players come to BSN.....I believe a very, very small fraction do, at the same time having played with at least a hundred players from BSN, it's never an issue.......so I am confused why players post these rants.

Know what I do sometimes when everyone on the team refuses to use medi-gel and leave me being the lone ranger?

I kill all the enemies accept 1 (Weakest one). Then, I hide in a safe spot.... Take a leak, make some coffee, go back and have my character shoot his weapon so he wont lag out, eat some donuts, pour the coffee, get the sugar, eat another donut, go back, light up a cig, drink the coffee and then I kill the enemy.

If they haven't left the game by then, good for them. Patience is a virtue and 7 times out of 10 that will solve the gel issue. If they left, then so be it. It was worth it.
