Looking for a change and wishful thinking.

I've been playing the ME3 multiplayer since the demo was first released and I still love playing the game.  I find it challenging and fun, most of the time, but I have to admit seeing the same wave system over and over and over again is becoming rather tedius.  For months there has been updates to adding in new weapons, new kits, a gear slot, etc.  Which got me thinking... why hasn't there been a new gameplay mode introduced by now?  I dunno whether this has been given any consideration but it has made me think about it.

So as a result of some freetime and high sugar/caffinated drinks, I've been pondering and playing with the idea of a new gameplay mode for the last couple of days and wanted to at least share ideas I've been thinking about.

Here's an example of what I am thinking about.  It would be a heavy objective based system that utilizes some objectives in a practical way, with some slight twists.  For simplicity I'll use a wave format as a layout.

Wave 1: Escort the Discoball!  Yes, most people get annoyed with our drone/discoball buddy but VIs are a critical part military operations.  From the landing pad the group will have to escort a drone to a spot for a task, with a few changes to make things more interesting.  First off will have its own HP/Shields/Armor (whatever you want) and can be destroyed if not protected.  If the drone is destroyed - mission failed.  Second, the drone will move at a fixed rate with or without players near it.  Third, since the drone has a fixed movement rate the players' omni-tools will increase power to the defensive capabilities of the drone - making it harder to destroy or take damage.  Once the drone has reached its destination for the operation, clean up any remaining enemies and the 'wave' will be complete.

Wave 2: Standard wave killing.  The enemy has realized there is a breach and sends in reinforcements to eliminate the threat.  The drone is busy analyzing what it needs to do and the players may run about doing their killing thing.

Wave 3: Important Enemies of Opporunity!  The enemy realizes that a stronger push is needed to displace the players.  Take out the important enemies and clean up the rest.

Wave 4: Four-point activation!  The drone has finished its analyze and needs computer stations de-crypted, power relies activate (whatever seems right for the area).  Activate the four points and then clean up.

Wave 5: Standard wave killing.  Drone is now busy doing its thing and needs time.  Clear out the enemies, you know what to do.

Wave 6: Discoball on the move!  The drone is done and needs to get to an upload site.  Escort the drone (using the same ideas in wave 1) to its destination and then clean up the area.

Wave 7: Standard wave killing.  The drone needs to sync itself to upload.  Eliminate the enemies in the area... stubborn buggers.

Wave 8: Hack Circle!  ...of sorts.  Same prinicple of a hack circle, the drone is busy uploading and the players omni-tools add in boosting its power in sending the information off-site.  After the intel has been uploaded, clean up the area of any enemies.

Wave 9: Extract!  You've done your job, the intel is secured.  Survive long enough to escape the rock you're on.

Again, this is just an idea I've playing with.  I've thought of other variations of something like this - even going as far to include failures in the overall mission, which can change how the mission can play out as it progresses.

So...how about it BioWare?  Can a new gamemode be introduce?  Or is this all just wishful thinking?  Either way... I can dream about it.

Apart from drones become more involved in the mission, it's what we already have.
