You know, lot of people still demand things of the ending.

For the record, you know Knight of the Old republic II?

Yeah, I had nerdrage too, as I have had with mass effect 3.

It was published on 2005, and many fans were upset of the result. They demanded a changed ending, the fixing of many major issules like sides missions.

You know? I found this:

http://www.moddb.com...-tslrcm/reviews

The fans made a release THIS July, the 1.8, and a hotfix 1.81 after that. This mod restores the "I didn't had time for it" content, changes the ending, and adds some side missions that should have been on the original script.

The cycle cannot be broken. You can give the fans that they want, or simply try to abandon them. But if you abandon them, they will strike, again, and again, and again... and at the end, they will accomplish that they want.

Even if you don't want it. Is the difference between be their hero, or the guy who left them behind.

The cycle cannot be broken. THE CYCLE CONTINUES.

To be fair some people complaining has been around in cycles under the Bioware banner since the release of Baldur's Gate 2 and oddly enough its not a surprising sight.  Heck every ME game has gone through cycles of hatred on an individual basis.

Those are files that are being added in patches and dlc's. If the game disc doesnt have leftover files, the game cant be considered in the literal sense incomplete.
The only thing that seems to be part of the original game and then was later removed to be sold as dlc was "From ashes" (at least that i heard).

Its odd that some people are complaining about DLC files being added from the EC like how it was shown with Leviathan and Omega.  Its also odd that some people complained about "From Ashes" even when "Kasumi's Stolen Memory" shared a similar scenario excluding the Day 1 part.

look, you guys won with the EC, give the ending a break and focus on making the REST of the game better!

EC fixed nothing, I for one didn't need more starjar, I needed less (namely none) of him.  his stupid logic, and "lol, reapers are like fire" ruined the game more than any other problem with the game.  the other problems are quite annoying as well, but none are as bad as the ending.  in order (currently and pre EC)
  • ending
  • autodialogue
  • lack of consequences (Rachni anyone?)
  • fetch quests
  • glitches
EC didn't fix anything IMO.

Ironically you could replace ME3 with ME2 and EC with Arrival.  Some people will always complain because everyone has an opinion.

You're right, it won't end. This fanbase is far too petty and pathetic. The cycle of whining and complaining will never die, not as long as the fanbase keeps acting like a 13 year old girl going through her first ever breakup... And let's face it, the fanbase WILL keep acting like that.

This isn't anything like a break up.
Bioware stole our shoes.

Its odd because there would be blame put against Lucas before Bioware, but the haters will always find something to hate on for no reason.

This is what you face. Don't blame the fire if it burns (Sounds familiar?) If you and other "I hate you because you don't like ME3 as is/aka you don't think as me" people had the same bravery than this mod guys, the videogame industry would be a very different thing

Sadly, you are to busy insulting the others instad of doing something constructive.

So sorry, in this story, you will be a rEAper husk.

"Your attacks are just insults..."

How is that problematic when the raging "fans" don't really know what they want while the perfect ME example is the Mako. Btw if you really want the pettiness to stop then wouldn't you try to stop the "fans" before the fans.

No, the mako is not a 'perfect example'. That implies Bioware couldn't possibly improve it, so just trashed it altogether.

Yet that is a perfect example because some people hated the Mako in ME1 so it was removed in ME2 then some complained about the removal in ME2 so the Hammerhead was added later as part of the Project Overlord DLC in ME2.  Ironically enough the addition caused some rage so both weren't used in ME3 and I'm pretty sure the cycle will continue.

I've already played the mod and is very good. But the thing is, with ME3 the game is finished (it was done everything it was suposed to be in the game).
It wasnt rushed (forced) out the door to be sold on Christmas.
It doesnt have leftover files from the devs, so that someone can piece everything together.
So i doubt something like that will happen to ME3.

Well, if someone is capable of decode, is quite easy to make a reuse file (Kaiden/ash hospital scene) with shep and all his companions in the room.

No words needed :)

If something like this could be done, you will have done the impossible.

And that will make you mighty Image IPB

To be fair we don't know if that would have been fine based on how hindsight is 20/20 and it was obvious that some people would have been mad no matter what happened because of the previous rage in the previous ME games.

That sounds cool and I really do enjoy this post. When is someone with millions of dollars going to make an IT DLC? Unfortunately, I don't have that kind of money yet but rest assured that when I do it will be done.

What if people don't want IT? Screw over everyone else just so you can feel validated?

Not that different from your current attiude. You feel content with the current state of things and don't really care that others don't. Not saying it's right in either case but there it is.
Though no one would force you to download this DLC if it's not what you want, it would just give people another option if they wanted one. Something wrong with that?

1. Thats' been YOUR attatude throughout this at the FANS. I swear, your on a payrole.
You can't just DENY how many people didn't like the game endings. Even CRITICS, LICENCED CRITICS, disagreed with the ending. Check PC Gamer.

2. You keep bringing up that Mako. That was fixed in ME2, making the missions less dependant on Vehicle levels, with just a FEW put in for variation through DLC. I would not be suprised if the upcomming "Omega" DLC re-introduces the vheacle levels. A true fan is willing to point out what is wrong. A PAYROLL fan is willing to igonre all faults, and stand by the company like it's a godsend.

The change would not be forced, you would have an option, a choice. This isn't synthesis.

Perhaps if they wrote good endings, people wouldn't complain. Bioware knows how to do it, they've done it plenty of times before.

Don't fix what ain't broken Bioware. Stick to your strengths, which is triumphant victories.

IT would be canon. It would be the truth.

If I didn't accept it I may as well be the new IT crowd. Living in denial.

You forget there is no canon. Especially when we're talking DLC. Not everyone considers Arrival canon. All presented options are valid, and still would be.

If there is no canon, then what does it hurt if there's an alternate ending available fro an optional download?

Does The Darkspawn Chronicles invalidate DAO's endings?
