I had the exact same thing happen at around about the same time. And I specifically did all the annoying jobs I had to do today early to get them out of the way for ME. Foiled!

in my mind its the only thing that explains so many server drop offs and disconnects happening in sync. something is being calibrated

keep in mind it is 9:50 EST and most buisness are 9-5, therefore bioware is implementing balance changes, seeing as A. all consoles are down, B. they would have had there get settled in time. ERGO----------> KROGANS WITH FLAMING JACK-O-LANTERNS FOR HEADS YIPPE!

happened to me once..the pack opened when I got back online (and had Javelin X in it)
