What would be cool is to make a weekend challenge with commendation packs, ect. that is only accessible to people who have already completed the Halloween challenge.

You guys are killing me. The last few posts' worth of questions are already answered on the previous page alone.
To sum up:
1. Yes, there will still be a normal weekend challenge this weekend IN ADDITION TO the Halloween Challenge. The normal weekend challenge will be the commendation pack-awarding one, like always. I am unsure how they will display both challenges at the top countdown bar, but I'm sure BioWare will figure that out. Also, the weekend challenges are normally announced later on Thursdays now, not on Wednesdays anymore.
2. The Halloween Challenge was extended to Nov. 5th to be nice to those on the East Coast of the U.S. who just experienced Hurricane Sandy. Many are still without power, so BioWare is trying to give them a chance to still complete the holiday challenge. You do NOT get a commendation pack for this challenge, just a banner.
3. For some reason, there are problems with trying to apply the Halloween banner through the N7 HQ. You have to apply it in-game. For PS3, go to Mulitplayer main menu. Go to Challenges. Select the Halloween Challenge. If you have completed the challenge, there will be a big sentence telling you what button to press to apply it. I imagine this works the same way on PC and XBox.

You just click on the halloween challenge in-game and if it has a green okay sign on it the button set title will become available. Click on it to set your banner.

I jumped on yesterday to work on my achievements and was very surprised to see a new challenge on the splash screen. So I went to the "challenge" tag and found the Halloween Challenge. A very cool and brilliant idea bioware!, give props to whoever thought of it. It was just plain fun to do. Only problem for me is loading the Halloween banner, for some reason I can load any other banner but the Halloween one, oh well. Then it got me thinking,... you folks have anything cooked up for Christmas? You know a Happy Ho Ho Banner. Thanks for keeping things fresh and quickly addressing the latest balance changes (now my Mantis can actually kill something with one shot!). For those soldiers still wanting to do this challenge and keep asking how much longer is this out for - just check the top of this page where it tells you how many minutes are left on the count down clock.

Just want to say thanks to Bioware for this fun challenge.:happy:
I loved the pumpkin objectives, lil disapointed the escort wasn't a floating pumpkin or a ghost of sorts but that's cool.
Banner is awesome as well.
I also think it's awesome you guys extended the challenge to give the east coast a fighting chance. Even though I'm not on the east coast I still think I should say thanks.

Try doing it in-game, But log out multi-player first and check your N7HQ then click "Set you active Challenge Award" then wait for 15 minutes.bult0055 wrote...

(Oh, and to the people griping about not getting a commendation pack, get over it. They're offering us something free that they put time and money into. Have some damn appreciation. If all you care about is loot, don't do the challenge.) Somebody had to say it. Thanks again.

Stupidest, easiest challenge ever and is a waste of time. The banner is kinda cool but its useless for online you gain nothing from it only gives you 25 challenge points 5 for each silver challenge 10 for the gold thats nothing compared to all other challenges. I guess we will find out tomorrow if there will be a n7 weekend challenge because i'd rather have a n7 weapon than a damn banner I ain't gonna use come on bioware don't disappoint.

So what if its a Banner that will only be used for a couple of days. Its fun and different. I for one cant wait to be escorting turkeys to the pickup zone in a few weeks.

First the added weapons. Then the added characters. Followed by new wave mission types. Next was the new enemys, Hazard maps, and challenges, all totally refreshing and much appreciated game changers. Now I see Pumpkins!!! Bioware, I must say... It's nice to know how it works on XBox or PS3, but it wasn't clear how to get it to work on PC.
But found out how to get it to work, there's a button in-game which says "Set Title". Now it works.
