Perhaps they are aware of Stabilization Modules (unlike 99% of the BSN posters).


Would you balance a gun around the possiblity that every person using it has those consumables? I dont even know why I replied. This isn't a discussion worth having.


Or maybe the recoil is part of the design that they do not want to part with and are trying to find a solution to the weapon that does not involves reducing it's recoil.
Do you have any idea on what to do there?

- Cannon shot damage reduced from 800 to 400 (fix for the bug that causes his weapon to do double damage)

800? This thing was doing AT LEAST 3200 per shot on silver. Krogan Sentinel, 1650 shields, 50% DR from tech armor, shields down in 1 shot.

It is riddicilous. Especialy as the character seems to insta die from the last shot no matter what.

Cool. Mattock still crushes the Raptor, though. Free scope just isn't worth approx 30 damage per shot.

Batarian Vanguard will be tons of fun.  Already gave it a quick test drive. :D

Hopefully, something will be done about Dragoon spawn counts, speed, or AI soon though. Killing eight Dragoons at the start of a wave on gold matches gets a bit old.

Phantoms = cool, very dangerous, but dodgable attacks and can be escaped briefly to recover
Dragoons = lame, very dangerus, come in swarms of 4 at a time, cannot be escaped, and attacks cannot be dodged (you can dodge their smash, but get immediately pelted with their ranged attack while you're still stuck in animation from the dodge, and then you can't take cover because they will swarm you)  The only effective tactic with Dragoons seems to be overwhelming DPS, as you can't run and you can't force them to take cover.

I'd like to see a faction that lets you cover and shoot again, as now every faction requires you move, move, move and never lets you take cover for more than a second or two.

Right, I get that it was being doubled to 1600 by the bug.  But playing on silver would kick it up to 3300+?

I, for one, am confused? I did not mind going down because i did not take cover from a large monster with a really big gun.. BUT, Being whipped into submission with ABSOLUTELY No way out ( there is no rolling when stunlocked ) by 3 Whipping boys is what should have been fixed!!! Is Not!!?? Please Bioware, Please do something. I don't play Geth because of this, so I am down to 3 factions. don't make it Two...

Thanks for fixing the Scion cannon, but I can't help but remark that whatever happened that upped the difficulty has disappeared, at least for me and my friends, several nights ago. Bronze is now as boringly easy as it always was and silver presents a mild challenge without consumables and Gold is a genuine challenge even when all geared up.

I don't know if it was healthgate/shieldgate, but the "going down like a two bit hooker " when I played carelessly on Bronze (which is how I've always played Bronze) is gone.

"you and your friends" is the key phrase.  Games are much more manageable and easier when you play with a familair group.  i play almost exclusively random public games and it is as hard as ever depending on how the group plays.  I find that players have adjusted somewhat to the regular waves but objective waves (espcially hack objectives) are still a nightmare,.

Looking at the numbers... the Incisor and Raptor should be awesome weapons now. If you fire from cover, or can just handle the recoil, the Incisor will just be awesome all around.

As for the GPR... I'll have to try it post-buff.Even at 800 RPM, it's damage per bullet is still really low, but I'm looking forward to seeing if it's better than expected. It should cut through mooks like butter at least, especially on Geth.

Well, considering the majority of characters have 500/500 health/shields, the bug actually didn't really affect many classes. And that's Bronze damage. On Silver and Gold, the change affects virtually no one, because 90% of the classes cannot possibly have more shields than the Scion's damage. They are still brutally OP.

I'm happy for the buffs, but the GPR is now more or less just a heavier Locust. The Mantis needed lighter weight, more than extra damage (and to not have the worst hipfire penalty in the game), but a buff's a buff. The Incisor needs a recoil reduction more than anything The reason no one uses it is more that it's almost impossible to score three hits without a Turian or a stability consumable. 

Raptor is a good buff, but it needs the hipfire penalty removed.

Still no GPSMG or Disciple buffs. 
I won't comment on the new class; I never really liked any of the Batarian classes.

The challenges are a nice touch though.
