If you want more graphic sex scenes you needen't worry. if i know the modding community of the usual PC RPG (and I know it pretty well), we can expect a TON of mods that will make the sex scenes in the game more saucy.

Just give the modders a couple more months to get used to the cutscene editor I can pretty much guarantee that there'll be hardcore porn in Dragon Age if you want it

Actually the themes and the conversations are already quite adult, I don't see the need to go overboard just for the shock effect. It's fitting, and it's an hell of a lot more of most other games.

We need to remember that graphical depiction of sex (IE: penetration) and full frontal nudity would have given the game an "Adults Only" rating, instead of an M one. While M rating has become pretty much acceptable marketing-wise, marketing an AO rated AAA title is very, very complex, and would definitely lead to a severe loss in sales. 
There has been only one successful AO rated game in the us (GTA : San Andreas) and even that one has been initially released as M, and then rerated AO after the hot coffee controversy.

IMHO Bioware has been quite wise in keeping the game suitable for an M rating to reach a wider audience, and give the modding community all the tools to make of it what they want. You can definitely do quite a lot in that field with the cutscene editor, there aren't many games around that offer such an advanced pixel-porn-making tool lol

Also, there have been only two games in the entire gaming history (as far as I know) that have been released on consoles and received an Adult Only rating in the US. GTA San Andreas and Manhunt 2. Like GTA SA, Manhunt 2 was initially released as M, but some people cracked it removing the censoring. prompting the ESRB to re-rate it as AO.

basically no console game has ever been released in the US with an initial AO rating. Dragon Age is on consoles as well, so obviously Bioware avoided being the first, and cutting off a lot of potential customers.

As far as I know, Microsoft won't even allow an AO-rated game to be released on the 360.

What's wrong with the female PC "sex scene"? You don't asume the foreplay you see in the male PC "sex scene" is actually the sex itself, do you?

As was pointed out, the sex is enough, I don't need to play trough the sweaty part or watch it in a cutscene, and I am a perverted European.

Usual and trite though it may be, it really is awfully... basement dweller-ish... to complain about a lack of bare chest warmers in a rated M+ game that has stirred controversy for its relatively graphic portrayal of people making the beast with two backs.

Is it? Is it more basement dwellerish than normal porn? because you know, if it's not, i guess the population of basement dwellers is probably a majority of the demographics of quite a few civilized nations.

But to be frank, normal porn is not as geeky as the alternative, because -without going into a philosophical argument about it- it's actual people... unless of course, the porn industry has been infiltrated by the robots prior to the expected time.

This is a RPG, there aren't many situations where your true self shows clearer than when you loose yourself in sexual extacy, so to have sex and not to ruin the roleplaying we'd need a system where we can choose whether our char is active or passive, whether we want to play gentle or rough, playful or determined, and are in love or just lecherous.

Frankly, I prefer it when a RPG does not tell me those details about my character.

No snapping here. I just find it funny. Also, there's IMHO a lot of difference between being somehow geekish (something that's lately gaining a positive connotation, in quite a few fields of society, it's almost trendy), and being a basement dweller.

Personally, I'd say sex "inserted" in a story as complex and interesting as Dragon Age, is quite more tasteful than actual porn, where stories, character interaction and evolution tend to be dull, when  not non-existant.
I'd dare to argue that the characters in DA:O are actually much more real in their growth, evolution and characterization than the usual, trite variations of the "dirty girl and mindless hunk" stereotypes that dwell in 99% of actual live porn. And that's what might easily make it even "hotter" for many, without the need for them to be labeled as basement dwellers or even geeks.

You only have to get the naked bodies mod and you will have all the sausage you want. I dont know what kind of bug my game has but it happens sometimes that when I loot some guy (thug or bandit or whatever human) he appears completely naked afterwards, like I actually did strip his clothes off.

But seriously, who wants more of those badly formed bodies in awkward poses? I feel like I am watching zoomed out Barbie and Ken making up during those sex scenes, totally plastic and totally not attractive.
I vote for different approach to sex cutscenes to make them at least look real; not more pixelated plastic yikes.

Yes, but some people assume that the male PC scene is actually the sex, and rail about how unrealistic it is that they keep their undies on, while the female PC scene is obviously only the beginning.
