I'd never kill him because I love the character and also because he does the most damage of any melee in the game (save my pc). Also, it's just a dumb decision in an rpg to kill a recruitable character. You might want him some time.

I know exactly if I am going to want him later or never, after 10 full games it would be dumb not to know. I dont care much for rogues and I prefer warriors/mages in my party, just personal preferance. I went through all the romanceable options with him and I am not interested anymore. So I have absolutely no use for him whatsoever.
From my point of view he is worthless and I am glad I have a chance to get rid of him asap.

Really? I was awake with a cold sweat, shuddering after the conversations I had with Zevran.

I had to start a new game and as soon as I had the chance I slit his throat.

Is this comment because he flirts with you? Is his sexuality that disturbing? Did you leave Leliana to rot in Lothering too? If you didn't then is it ok for a female to swing both ways, but not a male (but really it's an elf so does this even count?)?

I don't play evil characters.  I don't like them, and I hate getting into that space in my head.  I'll do it when I write, but not when I'm trying to save the world, however fictional.

Zevran isn't precisely evil.

I don't think Sialater had Zevran in mind when she/he posted that, but rather getting achievements for 'evil deeds'. ;)

Exactly, I cannot stomach a whole game RP'ing an evil *itch. So, I do the bad thing (Or the thing that feels the worst with the knowledge I have) and then reload.

I feel perfectly comfortable romancing Zevran as good character, however. My goody two shoes mage elf was just relieved to find another elf she could relate to (though she dumped him for the Templar), my Cousland rogue was a bit of a **** and shagged every guy she could find in game she didn't have to pay for. (Except Cammen, seemed more like child molesting.)

Killed him second character;

Still enjoy the loud dissaproving clanging noise that echoes whenever you do something 'bad'

My pc slept with Cammen.  I didn't feel like I was molesting him, but he made my pc just feel cheap afterwards and said he never wanted to speak to her again. The Jerk!

Anyway, back to Zevran.  I think it's obvious that most people who hate him have issues with him being bi.  That's the reason my husband doesn't like him, and while he didn't kill Zev, he just leaves him in camp and never talks to him.  I think it's a bit unfair, considering (as others have stated) you can always turn that off right away with one little line.  And as far as I know it goes away completely and you never have to worry about elven erotic massages .............although you have no idea what you're missing. Well even if you turn away his affections there is a possibility in one of his endings that he never takes another lover if his love meter is high enough. Poor Zevran and unrequited love. :crying:

I find it sad that in this day and age people are still so scared of sexuality. I'm a straight male, and I have gay friends. You know one of Morrigan's lines applies equally to gay men... The one about 2 things that men are always willing to believe.

"Women are weak, and they are all attracted to you."  Feel free to input gay/bi men into that statement as well.

I could never see myself kill Dog or Zevran upon meeting them. What's the point? To just be a jackass?

You know, secretly he's like this Dalish gigolo, and he just wants all the girls that come into camp to think he's the innocent little virgin.  Works for him every time. Posted Image

Edit: I'm referring to Cammen, not Zev.  We already know how Zev plays. Posted Image

Yeah, I know what you mean.  I'm female, but when I play a male pc, I usually romance Zev.  I don't have any issues with that sort of thing ................in fact I find it intriguing Posted Image

killed him.

The last thing I need in my party is an assassin.

Why not? I let Sten live. The guy flipped out and killed an entire family because he couldn't find his special sword, holds an intolerant and militant religous view, and basically hates everything in my country except cookies.

Leliana is also an assassin in a way, and a crazy one to boot, since she's having religious visions and creepy pasttimes. Shale is a big, magically inhanced psychotic chunk of rock who takes pleasure out of squishing people, and once flippedout and killed her master. Morrigan is a cold, manipulative mage of questionable loyalty whose motives you really can't figure out, Alistair is a failed alter boy and royal bastard who likes playing with golem dolls. Oghren is an unstable drunk who will hit on anything, including your dog, when drunk, and Wynne is borderline possesed/undead.

So explain to me again, just how having an "assassin" is any worse than your current line up, unless you killed them all?

See he's the would be the normal one in a group of psychopaths.  We just can't have someone using reason to influence our chaotic decisions. :)

Most normal? Heh. Says alot when the most normal member of your traveling circus is a bisexual assassin reject whose hobbies and sexual appetites are considered major felonies in most countries.

But yes, Zev is surprisingly normal on a personal level. Little bothers him, and he has a better grasp of the situation on hand than most people do.
