Check your internet service and check your modem first before flinging blame around. Get a quality ISP and your problems will disappear.

How do you people know it is EA's fault? I only suffer one diconnect a month sometimes not even and I played over 700 hours and I got the game a month after release.

We know because the problem is isolated to Mass Effect 3. Even BF3 works like a charm.
Its Origin's fault. Origin go nuts, think there is no conection, without second question, ME3 boots you. Its a thoughtless design.

How does that explain my lack of problems despite playing many hours? Many others report no problems. I;d say your ISP drops enough packets to make the game lose you.Mozts wrote...

I have wired dsl. How many that have problems have wireless? Without knowing all of that you cannot assign blame.
Does ME3 have steeper requirements than BF3? Perhaps it has to send more data and without a good solid connection you are out of luck.

There should be 1 hot failover host ready to take over hosting immediately.
There should also be a separation for host vs lobby leader. Allowing the best host to host the game, even though someone else is hosting/leading the lobby. This allows for proper host rating systems to be put in place.

You're using differente servers? EA cares about you? I have no idea and I don't need to.
Origin goes down, takes ME3 with it. Everything else works perfectly. Try to piece that one together without blaming EA.
Its not even ME3 connection that goes down, its literally Origin. The problem is: ME3 doesn't accept, not even for a split second, for you to be playing without a Origin connection. BF3 is a smarter design, Origin may go down, BF3 will give time before booting you from the game.
With ME3, you can be in Single Player, and you will be booted immediatly, if Origin "thinks" there is no conection. And why Origin "thinks" there is no conection? Because Origin is a screwed piece of software with problems back and forth. Some users with better knowleged of software and network understand the problem better than me. Its in Origin's core.
So yeah, It is goddamn EA's fault.

A really good MP offering like this one deserves much better servers than this.
