Not sure if serious, Cerb is my go to faction in gold, while geth/collectors duke it out for least desired.
Bioware - you have overbuffed Cerberus

No, they are NOT OP! Dragoons simply don't fit the faction strategically speaking.

this is true
this wouldn't be true if not for dragoons
atlases being fast, shooting in burst of 4 shots, having DOT and not nerfing phantoms would have been almost irrevelant if dragoons were not so badly designed and powerfull (i'm more scared of their hornet 54 than their melee)
and seriously, primes still die much faster than atlases (must be the canopy bug thingy)

It's time they mix up some stupid weakling into the mix of the supercharging Dragoons.
My Talon X with headshot amps and armor ammo IV, with the new pistol mod that does 45% damage make short work of Dragoons, but one at a time. Would be better if they don't spawn 4 of them at once, and maybe some security mech from ME2, those almost Husk like HP guys, slow and stupid to keep things 'balanced'.
But ah, maybe next DLC.

I agree.
But even though i don't like how fast (especially because he has armor) the Dragoon runs or how insane the DR on cartwheeling Phantoms is, my former most hated enemy (Geth Prime) was replaced by the Atlas.

I actually don't mind Atlas 4 shot, well that is from a Platinum perspective where no matter what you gotta give them considerable care and consideration, either way they're deadly so it doesn't change too much.
But I can understand how on silver that extra shot would make a difference.
It's trying to balance things for 4 different difficulty level, it's a hard business.
If I was a Silver only player, I would only want my Atlas with 2 shots.

I think we're experiencing power creep in favor of enemies. Only the pros see this as a challenge. Everybody else thinks its cheap and frustrating.

I feel as if the point of the Dragoons was to simply wipe out camping when I first encountered them. Cerberus is mainly supposed to be a slow-moving force that keeps supression fire on you as enemies move in.
At this point, all enemies are a harder type of Reaper clone in particular. I do like the challenges of the new enemies and all, but I would like to see the Dragoons toned down a bit. I remember making a *Balance the Phantoms* thread and I hoped the Dragoons would kinda pick up some of the slack Phantoms have to carry.
Instead Dragoons simply add-on to the Phantom problem.

Ya'know, if there's one buff that I'd like to see changed, it would be to make Shadow Strike work on Atluses again. Cloak-> SS -> dodge backwards -> ES was tons of fun on them...

They are okay in Gold. But in Platinum... if you get overrun by Dragoons then it gets really messy. 1 Dragoon? Hmm okay. 3+ Dragoons? Stop it with the whips!!! I say Dragoons need some tweaking...

So you think they're too powerful and you score 200k+ on a Silver game?

Atlas' are easy to kill. Just deal with it.

I actually don't mind Cerberus too much, though the Dragoon actually should be tweaked a bit. Too many of them at once.
The Atlas's new DoT rocket is very annoying too, especially considering it's practically impossible to dodge in the open AND causes death sentence stagger. I'd say the Atlas was fine before the DoT effect.

just because he's good and can carry 3 noobs doesn't make cerberus any easier nor anymore balanced

Beating Cerberus... only requires you to bring a Scorpion w/ ULM. Phantom/Dragoon problems solved. It really is that easy...

I do agree they aren't as tactical as they were before. Now they feel like all the other factions that zerg rush you. I think Bioware will do something about the dragoons eating up the spawn budget sooner or later.

I mean... have you guys read this thread?
Completely delete dragoons. Replace with armored Guardians. Nerf Atlas Rockets. etc.
Why not just ask Bioware to undo tons of work they have done so that Cerberus isn't the roflstomp fest that it has been for months. I mean seriously... they were a freakin' joke before. Stasis alone trivialized the entire faction.
How about this: Adapt, overcome, dominate.
Quit whining about the Dragoons and just kick their mother fockin' asses... they're stupid, you're smart. Adapt. I honestly have found them to be quite simple to deal with.

I think tweaking the spawn counts for Dragoons would go a long way towards quieting down the forums. The thing I hate about them the most is how quickly the switch from whipping to shooting. This might not be as annoying if there were only ever one or two out at a time.

what the OP is trying to say and do is: balance Cerberus
he may not be convincing you with is way of seeing things but at least he's aware that cerberus isn't right
cerberus was never right in term of balance
dragoons just made that even worse as well ruining cerberus' niche/etiquette of the most tactical/smart faction

Oh yeah, I forgot about that Atlas buff. I hadn't really noticed anything too different about them. They fire a missile, you jump into cover, you exchange fire, and after a few more steps the Atlas is usually falling apart.
Dragoons seem like a nice change of pace unit for Cerberus. It's certainly harder to headshot them since they move around so quickly. A big difference when compared to other Cerberus units.

Dragoons are really only an issue when they gang up and swarm the people (foolish) enough to stand in the LZ. Otherwise they're not awful.
