Bioware - you have overbuffed Cerberus

But Dragoons, it's going to be a LONG time before I can accept how irritating and game-dominating they are. Any wave - whether gold or platinum - with Dragoons just becomes all about Dragoons and almost nothing else. They're like the Mary Sues of the wave budget. And they're not even any fun to fight.
Reduce the numbers that spawn, reduce their hitpoints, reduce their speed, reduce the rate at which they spam attacks... then maybe they'd be halfway towards being interesting instead of annoying.

Dont nerf anything or buff anything i like they way the enemies are if you find them to hard play bronze thats the point in having challenging enemies i dont think there over buffed i think there decent.
Dude, i have my solo mastery banner twice over and have completed platinum on my own. Its not a question of being tough or easy - the AI are simply pulling cheap moves on us and its annoying. Not impossible to beat, but total BS none the less. In fact, what they do is pretty much on a par with players who missile glitch (they cheat).
How can an AI cheat lol me and my mates enjoy play against cerberus they have a good formation Long ranged attacks - Nemisis , Medium - Atlas , Strong infantry - Centurian , Cannon Fodder - Assualt Trooper , line defender - Guardian , Scouts - Phantoms and last but not least the flank and flusher - Dragoon ! there equally a good enemie in my eyes collectors as well those two give me a run for my money on Gold and Plat.

The atlas is a walking bullet sponge although a slightly quicker walking bullet sponge now.

My favorite part about the dragoon is if his melee gets dodged he immediatly fires nonestop at you while his whips are still out then jumps to whip you again.Tallgeese_VII wrote...
Problem is Dragoon having armor and ultimately becoming a perfect soldier without real weakness. This is bad.
This is a huge part of the issue with Dragoons. The whips aren't the real problem, the annoying instant gun swap is. I can't tell you how many times I've completely avoid the whip only to get instantly gunned down before I'm out of my roll by the same unit. Incredibly tedious.
Almost as bad as the gun is the tendency to gang stomp you in and out of the game when you use a medigel. Pre-retaliation you could medigel up and run out of a large pack - you had a 1.5-2 second grace time. Now you don't have even a moment before you are instantly stun-locked and downed. I can't even pull out a missile in time.
For my money leave the Dragoon speed, armor, and whips the same, but take away those stupid guns. Make them a purely melee unit that has to close.

Cerberus needed a Linebreaker like the Dragoon, because before it was the easiest faction to just box up and annihilate at leisure- the Phantom was the only wildcard, and they didn't always come rushing in.
But I agree it can be toned back a little. The Dragoon is damned fast and damned tough, not a simple thing to kill. Especially not when you have three of them in your face and Phantoms waiting in the wings. I'd like if the Dragoons got slowed down a touch, but just changing up the deployment patterns to slightly saner levels would work fine I think.
As for the Atlas...pah! Atlas is still a wimp. Too slow and big to be any real issue unless you're hunkering down somewhere.

and these changes are necessary to balance the factions

The Phantoms seek cover when their shields are down. They also evade attacks, which while at times is frustrating, it also buys the player some time to seek cover of their own and get their bearings straight.
The Dragoons simply bull rush you, forcing you out of cover with little chance to stagger them, and if you are out of whip range, they will pelt you with Hornet bullets. It's cheap behavior, plain and simple.
Edit: Like someone said above. They would be much better without a gun. You can't have a character mindlessly run towards you for endless melee attacks and then happily whip out a gun as a finishing move.

PUGs do just fine on XBL...
A small decrease to the Dragoons' movement speed would be nice - if only because they look a little silly atm

I still find I'm more confident to take on Cerberus on Gold rather than any other faction. Note: I'm by no means a predominantly Gold player, but a Silver player. But I'm slowly transitioning to Gold now after an awful amount of time spent playing already.Air Quotes wrote...
1. Speeding up Atlas and giving him 4 shots + DOT missiles (he is now faster than Prime and 2x toughter)
2. Adding waves upon waves of annoying badly designed buggy Dragoons in place of Centurions and Guardians and not in place of Phantoms
3. Not nerfing Phantoms, Turrets or anything
You made Cerberus into a generic bum-rushing faction
Seriously PUGS cannot handle a basic Silver anymore and on Gold I have to score 200k+ almost everytime now to pass it.
I do not know what the pevailing sentiments on either Reapers or Collectors is at the moment, but, having played Gold vs. Reapers today and having Banshees spawn, instantly teleport through walls, and grab and insta-kill me 2 or 3 times in a single game, I thought I had had enough of that faction and moved on to Cerberus for the day, where I had 3 successes out of 5.
One observation: the games seem to be speeding up more and more. Silver games to me are becoming mostly run and gun and compete for points type of deal, and on Gold at least some people seem to hold back and engage from cover. The difference between Gold and Silver, player-wise, seems to be about having more DPS, well, apart from a few things like more Banshees being able to grab. (I still think it's about there being more Banshees on Gold, but whatever...)
All that said, I mostly agree with you. In one of the games vs. Cerberus on Gold today, I believe an Atlas rocket did a sharp turn (L-shaped) and hit me and my random buddy and killed both of us on Wave 10 (we were like 10 or 15 meters apart from where I stood and the Atlas was barely visible on my screen). So either it was lag that was distorting our relative positions or something was up with that that I don't really understand. I dislike the Dragoons. They don't take cover for more than a second and prefer dodge-rolling and suicide-rushing. It is a unit designed for one sole puprose it seems - to keep the player mobile at whatever cost.
