Curious about something. I can play as a rogue for example as my current PC and by the end of the game unlock all rogue specilizations. This is turn allows me to choose any spec on a future rogue I choose to play without going through the hassle of buying books, warming up a NPC etc,
However, can I unlock as a rogue warrior or mage spec by buying their manuals for example, so that on future warrior/mage specs I can learn them from the get go as well?
Or do I have to be a mage to unlock for my future mages etc.

Yes, you can unlock just about any specialization regardless of class.
Except for blood mage. The only place you can learn blood mage is when you are a mage yourself.

Do I unlock Templar for example as a rogue by chatting with Alistair or would I need to buy the book friends etc?
