I have never posted on a forum, blog, etc. I may never again. But I need to say this. I live in NYC. While I'm ok, it flooded 3 blocks over. We still do not have public transportation, other than buses that even the newscasters said are far too overcrowded to bother trying unless you desperately need to get somewhere. Like many in the city, I don't have a car since we rely so much on public transportation. For the last 4 days I have been cooped up in my apartment, trying to get in touch with family and friends in NY and NJ, listening to sirens wailing every couple of minutes. I still have not heard from two of my close friends. Hopefully that is becaues they lost phone service and nothing worse. It looks like I will be essentially stuck inside or within walking distance for a few more days. Yet I consider myself to be fortunate to still have a place to be "stuck inside" when so many others do not.
BioWare, your Halloween Challenge was a very nice and unexpected surprise and came at just the right time. It has been the one nice diversion I have had in several days. Thank you. And thank you for extending the deadline so that perhaps some others who are suffering through this might be able to have a few hours respite from their ordeal. It may seem superficial to talk about a game when there is so much tragedy, but sometimes the little things provide a few moments of space to collect yourself and move forward. This is my first time playing an on-line multiplayer, but it seems to me that you take a real interest in your community and truly love what you do. Your games are heads and tails above the rest, and from everything I have seen you are a classy bunch of people to boot. This challenge and your extending it just confirms what I already believed.
I also want to say thank you to those on this forum and in the ME3 community at large who have expressed their support for us back east. A few minutes ago I was playing with a random group on Ghost. From being tired or stressed or what I don't know, but on wave 11, I uncharacteristically spaced out and forgot about the extraction. After the match I sent all three of the other players messages explaining and apologizing. I have already received one reply asking how I am doing ... from a random person I have never met. That, too, may seem like no big thing. But when you are going through something like this, little gestures can mean a lot. So thank all of you, as well.
Now I am going to attempt one more phone call and then go back in to soften up some bosses with my kroguard to help those still pursuing their Halloween banners. So if you reply to this post and I don't respond, you know where I will be. In my apartment, waiting by the phone, playing ME3, displaying my holiday banner with sincere appreciation.
BioWare - Thank you from NYC

Glad you are okay!.
I have family in NYC and they are OK, my cousin told me that he doesn't have electricity yet, but his house is in a good condition, nothing bad happened there.

I Thank bioware too. Maybe if my friend gets his internet back soon he'll be able to get the banner to. I'm going to sick of ghost after this but a small price to pay for some people to play it and get a b***hing banner.

Hey, other NYC resident... are you having tons of disconnects from the EA servers as well? My theory is hurricane complications since I've never experienced so many disconnects before.
Also, more props to BW from NYC.

Glad you are doing okay and that you have found something to keep your mind off it!
My sincerest condolences to anyone who was affected by the disaster. I live in Toronto so we only got the tail end of it, and for me it only affected me at night when you can feel the house shake a bit from the strong wind. Nothing compared to NYC. I hope you hear from your friends soon and I hope things in NYC settle down sooner rather then later.

I REALLY needed the Halloween Challenge to take my mind off of all the Halloween parties I'm missing. Playing ME3 co-op may not compare to getting fellated by a tipsy girl in a "sexy big bird" costume, but it is pretty close.

NY (Brooklyn) here. Just here to say stay safe to you and anybody else affected by Sandy. On a way less important, but still awesome note; Thanks B-Dubs! Pumkins were a nice touch.

*Gulp*

My country gets hit by lot of hurricans every year. One (Sontinh) just hit us a few days ago. Luckily, I live in the city and I've not experienced any. I hear about Sandy on the TV. Hoping you guys are safe and will come back to normal live, and MP with us soon.

Good luck folks... my mom lives in bumble**** pennsylvania and is without power.... nd down quite a few trees.
Glad you, at least, are safe.
Also, where's that gif of tim curry playing orson wells clapping? (Or am I confused and that is only used sarcastically) because this post deserves a "cheers" (that gif would work too) or applause

Glad you are ok. Quick question: Was Hoboken, NJ flooded out too? There is an Olive Garden there. Worst place I have ever gone to eat. I hope it was washed away. F*ck that place...
