I'd hope so. If we're going to a nation populated by a people, I expect their culture and accent to be the majority.

On a more serious note, I've studied some French and I quite like the accent.  Unfortunately this means I find the fake French accent incredibly grating.  Please Bioware, please use mostly native VAs!

Only Leliana can pull off a cute Orlesian accent.
So unless Leliana's voice actress wants to voice act every female then no.

If the game is set in Orlais and the majority of the character don't have a french accent it'll be big, but not surprising, disappointment.

I'd be disappointed if they didn't for continuity reasons alone. They've established the general accent of Orlais in the first two games and that should continue in subsequent titles.

The current fan consensus, from what I understand, is that you'll be going all over. So, the majority of the characters might not need french accents.

Out of curiosity, for the French version of Origins and DA2, did the majority of characters have British or US accents voice acting in French?

And same question for any other foreign language version.
