It says in my journal I'm to tell this masson I found some granite deposite in the Woods.
Now, when I do that, it seems he and I don't read the same journal obviously... He simply doesn't mention any thing about my find.
Is that because I've already found the 80 gold for the walls, first thing I did?
'just trying to get the "Awakening" feeling, about the way that game has been written, because that's kind of unusual and uncaring to say the least.
And still, he's got that bright flashing arrow sign over his head, but has nothing intersting to say anymore, except he is building the walls allright...

I was probably too spolied with Origins, I guess...

Same with Wade and the Iron and Veridium Ore deposits I've found, now that my soldiers are equiped with the first ore I found?
Only the journal still reads: "keep looking for other metals..."

Sounds like a bug.

From what I've gathered from my playthroughs, Voldrik won't mention anything about the granite you found if you try to hand it over to him before completing one of the three main questlines. And that is after you have given him the 80 gold earlier. The quest marker above him will continue to show, till you finish one main questline, return and talk to him. But since you have already mentioned about finding the Iron Ore deposit, I guess you have already completed 'Last of the Legion'. So, I'm guessing it's some other bug. Just to be sure, is your game patched to at least 1.4?

I know I'm patched as far up as the DA:O Mac game could go. But I'd find the way to check on this...
Well, what you're saying makes sense, it's just I finished Origins, and that game was such an immersive jewel I need some time to return to the imperfect reality... ;-)

Thanks.

Everything gets better later, of course. Only bugs like this one seem to be all over the place...
Just that desimmersive feeling this "Awakening" game wasn't exactly ready when it went for sale.
Compared to "Origins", it's quite a pity though...

Still a lot to enjoy with it anyway, only with this one, I'm playing, not any longer dreaming...

Right, if one can look past all those annoyances, 'awakening' is quite fun in it's own right. It is fun to see the Warden become almost invincible.
