So here's a list of a few game modes that  i thought would make MP much much much more fun and less redudnent. I won't talk about the credit reward, since the fun reward seems much more interesting

1. Hoarde mode

a) you set up a game the same way, but choosing hoarde mode. Now you have a few possibilities. If you put it on a certain faction, you would get a random enemey spawn (e.g. brute spam or husk spam) for a wave, with the enemy changing to a different, random one in the next wave.

B) Choosing unknown faction, you would get a random enemy spawning every wave from every faction. This is more challenging since it makes you choose a build thats more balanced to everything. (e.g. wave 1 spawns cannibals, wave 2 spawns collector troops, wave 3 spawns scions)

In objective waves, namely 3,6,10 you would have two enemies spawn in the same wave instead of just one. Same objectives I would say. (not sure of what new objectives can be incoorporated in the game)

For hoarde mode, the spawn budget isn't limited but rather enemies keep on spawning for a certain time period.

This seems like it should be easy to incooportate, since platinum does a little bit of this. However, I am not a programmer so I might be completely wrong.

2) Special mode

This mode incoorporates a set of conditions with each faction. For example, one condition might be "enemies take a 50% flat damage rate from all sources" or "enemy bullets use incendiary ammo" or such. Other conditions might be "enemies regan health/armor at a X rate" or "using powers against a certain enemy restores their health"

This mode would be for the players out there that want a challenge and also want to give the enemy a handicap.
What do you think BSN? Should they exist?

While it would be an interesting change and i'd love to try it, i still think that an all out change to bring in a completely new type of gameplay mode, based on objectives would be more welcome.

Assault, Infiltration, Hold the line, Tactical Retreat, - type gameplays....Hell they have heckloads of maps they could bring in from Singleplayer for the purpose :) This kind of change however would mean a lot of additional work for the MP team and it would inevitably lead to the fact that Multiplayer DLC:s would no longer remain free..if they expand it too much.

EDIT: Especially with Hold the line, i constantly think of the Palaven Moon - Menae -mission where you'd have a fortified base walled up and there was a part where you'd man a turret to kill invading reapers....i kind of hoped they had thought of this possibility with the Multiplayer Map located there :D

would be cool no?

They wont/can't because not only would it be a coding nightmare to retrocode the old they'd have to find a way to mesh the new in with it. Furthermore M$ has all of the fun dlc restrictions they force on developers, I'm pretty sure the change you are suggesting would be a massive file size which M$ has a limit to I think 2gb, also they charge the devs for quality assurance etc and this game is just plain becoming old in its life cycle.

Would I love everything you and the community has suggested in terms of new content, complete store overhauls and User interface changes? without a doubt I would but like one of the devs stated in the store overhaul post it's just not feasible.

I'd like a game mode where the team is corralled in a defensible position and has to fight off never-ending waves of enemies. The matches are timed and the longer you survive, the more credits you get. The match only ends when all players are dead.

I think Some one at Bioware not Sure if it was Chris Priestley who said that there is no time limit for multiplayer Dlc so for all we know there is no Life Cycle to the Amount of Dlc the Game is Gonna Get Atleast for awhile.

And Yea i personally Believe there's gonna be a new game Because every time we asked for something Bioware included it in a Dlc For Example:

We Asked for a More Difficult Challenge Bioware Gave us Platinum
We Asked For A New Enemy Bioware Gave us Collectors
And Now We ask For a new Game Mode so Bioware Show Us what you can do.

That's what I am hoping for. I also hope it wouldn't be too much difficulty for them.

I am going to have to talk to Bryan Johnson or one of the other mods and hopefully get an answer to if we can hope for a new game mode

New game modes would be interesting.
I've always thought a Battlefield 'rush' style, where you progress through a map doing certain objectives. (civilian escorts, sabatogae AA ect ect)

Doing several objectives like that would defiantly be interesting. I would love to see how that works out

I think you sum up the problems with adding new game modes pretty well. I think best case scenario, if the player base stays strong after the release of all the new characters from retaliation, bioware might work on more characters + levels and hopefuly mercenaries as a faciton. But even this is wishful thinking.

I'd like to see multiple objectives in a single wave. I think that should be fairly possible to code.

what would it take for bioware to take upon such suggestions? Support from the forums?
