Just wondered if everyone approaches the maps in a similar way when a wave starts or if anyone has any secret tactics..... For the record, at the start of each wave I...
FB Dagger... Run to the top of the ramp on the right hand side of the map and look down at the main spawn point..
FB Ghost... Stand in front of the crates at the top of the extraction area and scope across the "yard" to the spawn point in the opposite crate.
FB Giant... Stand in front of the area adjacent to the extraction area and face down the double doorways of spawnage.
FB Glacier... Stand at the top of the stairs where the creepy crawlies are all over the window in the hazard map and then charge down the stairs when the wave starts.
FB Reactor... Run to the alley/ corridor just before the spawn point next to the top reactor door.
FBW... Dependent on difficulty I'll either stand at the top of the ladder facing down to the bottom spawn point, or hang about the small set of steps just down from the ladder ready to charge into the old camping area.
FB Hydra.. Run up the path to the top ammo crate and peer over to the spawn point below.
FB Goddess... Stay on the elevated section looking down to the lower section and aim my sights at the spawn point in the "utility room" type area.
FB Jade.. Hang about halfway down the left hand corridor, just about level with the ammo crate and prepare to charge down the bottom of said corridor.
FB Condor.. Go up the little ramp into the right hand side of the crate with the gangway and scope down to the lower level spawn/ start point...
FB London... Really depends where the enemy spawn from. I'll start off having a look at the left of the extraction zone, if they ain't there, I'll have a look at the area around the "southern" ammo crate" and if not there, then the far end of the map..
FB Rio... Again, just check either end of the map to see where the spawnage commences..
FB Vancouver... At the top of the map, I'll stand at the top of the ramp and charge into the corner area at the top of the stairs..
Does anyone else start a wave differently? If so, how?
What's your go to killing point on each map?

I do almost the same.
Ghost: watch the second yard from behind the crates.
Hazzard Ghost: near the Ammobox inside.
Glacier: wait at the top of the stairs near the LZ.
Jade: lower Corridor right hand side of LZ

Mostly the same. Goddess I like to go to the left of the LZ and prepare to charge the spawn point in that room. If some random runs in there just before the wave starts and screws up the spawn, I'll sprint across the lobby to the spawn at the grenade box by the bottom of the stairs.
Reactor I run to the opposite side of the map from the LZ past the reactor room, then charge clockwise hugging the leftmost wall.
Condor I hold the upper ridge, and either attack the spawn on the platform just to the left of the ridge (if facing the LZ), or snipe into the open courtyard to the right going down the ridge.

None. It depends on where your teammates are. After finishing a wave, I look at where my teammates are and try to fan out in a nice long line/arc with no open spawns between me and my teammates. By spreading out and capping as many spawn points as possible, you can force most of the enemies to spawn at just 1 or 2 points. It doesn't even matter where this spawn is, you can then converge and kill it.

I rely on sound and vibrations and of course sight to tell me where to go. Though ME3 MP has a sound mechanic where you can hear enemy noises (husks groans, geth ticking, etc) in places where they aren't it only take a second to glance over where you think you hear them and either confirm or deny their presence there. Afterwards you can unleash Hell.
Many times on the FB White Geth Gold I have saved the team a lot of stress because I can hear the Prime's footsteps in the new corridor behind the upper ramp/ladder area. And when you starting making all kinds of noise back there your teammates pay attention and come help if necessary. A headset really helps single out certain noises that may otherwise be drowned out from a booming surround sound system or stereo audio. Of course nothing beats visual verification but when I can't see them I rely on the method above...

There is a great spot in Glacier, up the farthest stairs from the extraction area and straight into the small room. Just inside the door on the right is a place to take standing cover against the wall. From there is a line of sight to the top of all three stairs. From there I can throw Dark Channel at anything at the top of any of those stairs without moving. Any biotic on the team can detonate, or I can with throw, or the DC will eat away at defenses for the benefit of the weapons characters. And bosses will feel the acolyte.
Plus, standing there crimps that location for a spawn. I hate it when they spawn in that room. And there are two avenues of escape.

FB Dagger... Same - Run to the top of the ramp on the right hand side of the map and look down at the main spawn point..
FB Ghost... I stand in front of the garbage bins over on the right-hand alley.
FB Giant... Same - Stand in front of the area adjacent to the extraction area and face down the double doorways of spawnage.
FB Glacier... Same - Stand at the top of the stairs where the creepy crawlies are all over the window in the hazard map and then charge down the stairs when the wave starts.. If teammate is already there, then I stand beside the now-blocked-off room and watch that spawn point, while eye-balling computer room to my right.
FB Reactor... Leave LZ and stand downstairs in front of the Reactor. Three-way-view of LZ spawn, doorway opposite reactor spawn, and upstairs area across from me spawn.
FBW... Top of the stairs opposite the LZ
FB Hydra.. Varies... sometimes run up the path to the top ammo crate and peer over to the spawn point below or go to the left of the LZ and watch the spawn that's next to the disco ball room.
FB Goddess... Same - Stay on the elevated section looking down to the lower section and aim my sights at the spawn point in the "utility room" type area.

FB London... Kind of stand in the middle and listen for the spawn, then rush to it.
FB Rio... Again, just check either end of the map to see where the spawnage commences. I tend to start on the end with the caged area and all the storage boxes, on the right side of the raised platform.
FB Vancouver... Stay near the LZ and hit the baddies spawning in the upper area across from me and down in the lower area across from me.

FB Dagger - Control tower (Sniper land) if i have a rifle, if not I'll usually start there at a door or at the lower extraction zone. Solo I'm always in the tower.
FB
Ghost - Depends on my team, if they gather just in front of extraction, I'll go to the right-side alley way and kill there, otherwise I'll take in front of extraction.
FB Giant - Habit has me starting in front of control room, rifle or not.
FB
Glacier - Door to left of extraction just up the steps. Can snipe at middle hallway spawn or deadend in control room.
FB Reactor - Hardly play here, I think I hang out at ammo box in center of right walkway.
FB White - Either in the old camping room or up top above ladder, depending on where team is.
FB Hydra - Left side, watching long hallway from hologram ball room.
FB
Goddess - Stairway overlooking lower basement
FB Jade - Ammo box at right of extraction (lower level).
FB Condor - Hill overlooking extraction
FB London - Habitually at the overlook in center.
FB Rio - Middle of a walkway, usually farside (from extraction) walkway toward boxes.
FB Vancouver - I don't have a stable "go-to" zone for here yet.

Dagger: depends on the class, but I tend to stick near the ramp leading down into the courtyard.
Giant: top of the ramp into the control room. Or lurking on the other side of the wall from the player spawn.
Reactor: run around aimlessly.
Ghost: the room at the far end of the upper courtyard, the one with the short ladder and an ammo box.
Glacier: tend to stick around labs.
White: run around aimlessly.
Hydra: the room to the right of the spawn for defense classes. Running around for everyone else.
Condor: up the mountain, but only if I have someone else to watch my back. Otherwise, run around aimlessly.
Goddess: corner of the control room.
Jade: lower lab 'room' on Gold. Run around aimlessly on Silver.
London: wander around the middle area, avoiding the 'wings' unless I'm a close-range class. Prowling the entire upper-level.
Rio: run back-and-forth, but I tend to prefer the side of the map with all of the shipping containers.
Vancouver: varies between the the vents at the upper-back, or wandering the lower area. Hate the upper half of the map.

Assuming teammates aren't blocking these locations...
- Dagger: huddle behind wall on lower catwalk that is just below the sniper's window. This blocks the far right spawn, and lets me watch the spawn behind the big pole. If nothing spawns there, I turn left and Fury-port through the tanks to get the corner spawn.
- Goddess: head left from the LZ, and block the spawn in the near room. If nothing spawns in the big long-table room, I simply turn around, and usually stuff has spawned near the LZ behind me.
- Jade: head down the stairs to the right of LZ, blocking the ceiling-hole spawn. If nothing spawns in the lab, I run down the stairs and over to the back corridor.
- Giant: sit just outside the corner room that's near the LZ. If they don't spawn there, I run past and Fury-port down the ladder to the lower level.
- Glacier and White: go where others aren't.
- Reactor and London: run laps around the outer edges of the map.
- Ghost: sit behind trash bin and watch back alley.
- Vancouver: Sit in LZ. I tend to get pugs who rush the top office level, so I just stay and watch the long ramp in the back on the far right corner and the giant box far to the left corner.
- Hydra: start in lower far right cover area, and run around the corner to the spawn, or up ramp if needed.
- Rio: hang out in the CQC area, concede the rest. (Hate Rio).

What I do on Silver with the N7 Shadow. Against Cerberus I actually die less compared to when I'm using my SI. Against Reapers otoh... lets just say Ravagers and leave it at that.

Similar.
Giant-stand in front door way to control room in soft cover, or near ammo crate in rear of control room. End result, multiple escape routes, bottle necks, good grab cover/soft cover, easy to see multiple enemy entry points on the screen at one time. Worked great for my solo gold missions.

White - Quite often the new corridor between the camp site and middle room looking toward the middle, since there's a spawn in the other new corridor that can be dealt with quite well from there (for me anyway) esp as N7 Paladin (actually I spend a lot of time in the middle room and it's corridors.
Note that this is against Geth Usually as I Still like White/Geth/Gold as a money option...
