Am I the only one who finds Infiltrators boring to play with?

Apart from maybe the TGI or N7 Shadow. Otherwise it mainly seems to be TC, snipe, TC, snipe, TC, snipe etc.

I dunno, maybe I don't use them properly, but I'm a fan of classes with powers and as far as I can tell most Infiltrators don't really have many 'fun' powers.

I like sniping, so I don't understand.

But then I generally find the melee krogan or batarian builds boring. Horses for courses.

The vanilla Human Infiltrator's Sticky Grenades are pretty fun (and really powerful).
You can have a lot of fun with the QFI too, especially with a fully evolved Sabotage power.

Most people don't snipe with infiltrators... >_>

I think the question you should be asking is 'am I the only one who finds SNIPING boring'.

Or...TC, shotgun...or TC, AR. I was playing an AR Infiltrator with the MQI far before the TGI was released. It's viable on most classes.

The fun of an Infiltrator is trying to get those headshots by aiming down scope. It's not easy; it's easier to get headshots with other weapons that don't require you to scope, but it's more rewarding with a sniper rifle because the damage output can be ridiculous. So it's not so much about powers (aside from Tactical Cloak, which is awesome).

Try a shogun, more fun because you must be more careful and use hit-and-run tactics.
Snipers are really boring, I agree.

I don't know what you expect from a class that must have tactical cloak and just two other powers. Maybe you just find snipers to be boring, seeing that the only two Infiltrators you do like, don't ever snipe. I've actually been messing around with the Incisor on the N7 Fury, and it's working out surprisingly well. I figured I might as well spec her in a way that allows me to play her off-host without the risk of a slow throw or missed throw killing me. Dark Channel is a instant stagger that allows for a really easy headshot.

I run a shotgun on most of my Infiltrators so it's not really TC snipe galore, more of infighting.

Not really, it just doesn't seem like most of them have as cool powers as the others. They're basically Soldiers with TC. I would imagine that Sabotage should be fun, but that only works on synthetics, and most of the time the sabotaged units end up getting taken out first (be it intentionally or unintentionally).

It's entirely possible that maybe I'm just struggling to come up with a build that I'll enjoy.

I still snipe, but since the latest DLC I'm been using the Collector Sniper Rifle.

I usually find something I can do to liven up the cloak/snipe pattern. This is why I rarely touch QMI - Tac Scan just isn't interesting enough for me to have it count as breaking up the cloak/snipe pattern.

On the other hand I tend to go for extended cloak for running around the map and for being invisible for most/all of a disable device objective, instead of extra cloak damage on rank 4.

I prefer weapon classes, since they aren't screwed by lag like powers can be.

I never snipe with Infiltrators. That seems like a waste of Tactical Cloak. I know it isn't quite true (entire evo dedicated to a huge multiplicative sniper rifle damage increase), but it still seems like shotguns were always the best with that, since you can get close and they deal more damage per shot in general while bypassing shieldgate.

Use shotguns. GI+piranha is like crack cocaine. Claymore on the MQI is fun to.

Play the melee build in my sig. Sabotage is more versatile than you realize.

Or master the melee GI.

Never really liked Sniping on an Infiltrator, I TC Talon my way through mobs, or shotgun. Sniping just bores me to death. Infiltrator skills are fun to use as well, cryo explosions for days.

Play a melee based infiltrator and I promise you it will not be boring.

Playing as a sniper can be a lot of fun if in correct team context. Nothing more satisfying than taking down Ravagers/Scions/Primes from a distance while your team is dealing with things close up. Especially with the return of headshots.

I like sniping. Only problem is that many targets die from spray of bullets before I line up my shot  Image IPB
I find playing soldiers boring to be honest. Image IPB

Yes, you may be sniping and it can seem repetative, but you can end up playing 'guardian angel' on the deliveries, save people from the odd cocaine-addicted phoenix (dragoons). And it's nice when you can hear appreciation from those who are mic'd up.

You can also complete target waves nice and quickly
An smg or something that allows you to help a close quarters.
And I will never tire of Sabotage.. It humours me endlessly.
As an infiltrator you can be an effective medic - letting the krogan spend his time headbutting rather than healing.

Yes you may not be the most noticable part of the combat, but can be an important part and can tilt the odds in your teams favour. Played well, snipertrators are a versatile and powerful asset to the team.

You may have to think a bit to be a maximum effectiveness, but hey, if it's not for you get stuck in with a vanguard!Image IPB

I see you don't know what backfire and tech vulnerability is if you think sabotage is only effective against synthetics.

Anyway, here is the Shadow with a Shadow Strike build, which is quite fun. Remember: duration and bonus power for her. Then there's the QFI melee build, which makes full use of saboatge to get monster damage.

I personally enjoy sniping; I also personally find Adepts and Soldiers very boring.

I play my Infils differently from each other though. With my Human Male it's more about picking off the mooks, providing cryo support and pro-stickynading enemies like a pro.
Quarian Female=The CRUSADES(N7 Crusader)
Quarian Male = more of my wildcard there, anything seems to work on him for me lol
Salarian = a mixed one
Geth = the one I find the most boring truthfully
Shadow = Doesn't play like any other Infil
Turian = He's pretty fun since I can use my favorite Assault rifles on him.
