I can objectively say 'yes.'

A fully interactive desire demon that you don't kill five second after meeting. ^_^

THIS IS NOT A FETISH.

I am deeply interested in talking about... demony stuff. Oh, and personality. Personality is awesome. I think the demon should have one.

I guess we won't have human or elf or dwarven followers because we've had them before.

DA 3 will instead have an EPIC all saltine ****** party. Should be tasty and good with soup.

I think that the facts have proven that a demon makes games sell less 9 times out of 10.

From a developers point of view, demons are more trouble than they're worth. (Am I doing it right?)

In all seriousness... I can't wrap my head around how they could make it work. The only way a demon can exist in the material plane is by feeding on it's host until it's dead and then finding a new one. How can it be a constant companion across the Inquisitor's adventure if it's either a mass-murderer that you have to stop, or stuck in the Fade all the time?

Artificial body? Maybe a demon stuck in a Golem body? What happens when a demon makes it to the real world, isn't stopped, and finds a permanent way to remain in that world without inviting destruction of it's vessel from everyone with a shred of respect for humanity? Where does the demon go from there, when they're done with the whole manipulating people to get out of the fade part but aren't hurting anyone either?

As a supporter of the Desire Spirits, I find the way how you call them "demons" very offensive.

They are more "Daemons", than they are Demons, yes.

NO.

Demons do not work that way.

Make them into summoning pets for mages.

At least you are past the "Desire Spirit" phase!

I would like to know more about what the desire demons seduction does to a person. They feed on emotions right? What happens top the victim long term? I have always had to pause at the one section of the game where she and the Templar are playing house and he seems so very happy in his situation.

Well, if they didn't suck then they wouldn't be called "Desire Demons" so they must suck hard.

It would be difficult.

I mean, it's one thing to complain that the Templars never noticed that you were casting spells right in broad daylight. It's another thing to be carting a demon around that could participate in conversations.

As a companion, I'd say it's a no go.

Now... as an NPC at home base? That's a different story. Perhaps bound to the world by some artifact, or attached to another NPC like the Templar we saw in the Tower of DA:O... that would be very interesting. You could talk, interact, do quests in relation with and even fall into temptation with said demon and it wouldn't involve breaking down and rebuilding the fourth wall nearly every five minutes.

I think a more personal interaction with a demon would be great, but as a companion, I've got to say the nay-no.

I would rather have the option to get rid of the demons in my team.

I would like to know why there are no mages in the circle whose job is to go in to the fade and kill demons and free possessed mages as a regular job?

Demons have no personality. They are the manifestation of a singular emotion. And thats all they are.

Considering that the spirits themselves call them demons, I don't see why I should call them in a different way, or way it's an offensive way to call them.
Would you prefer if we call them malevolent spirits?

Well, presumably they wouldn't be in their demony form.  They could be possessing a human body.  Or be a talking cat.

Ah, a Justice Redux then (I mean that in no negative light).

It would have to have a HUGE McGuffin why it would not be causing harm, chaos or be sucking the life from all nearby beings (all of which is needed to survive for a demon, as far as we know). So I'd rather have it be an NPC... but if handled correctly, I wouldn't oppose a companion. It just would have to make sense.
