Justice was close enough. I vote no.

I guess we won't have human or elf or dwarven followers because we've had them before.

DA 3 will instead have an EPIC all saltine ****** party. Should be tasty and good with soup.

I'm not a fan of demons, so I voted no. Justice was a spirit of virtue before DA2 and the writers completely ruined him... and Anders.

How about Connor? He's an adult now, and he still has a desire demon inside of him, because my Warden let it live so he could sex it.

I'd like to see some dragons, you know, since the game is called Dragon Age

Like all things, if its done well, why not? Bioware games have always had 'exotic' companions. Legion and Shale first come to mind and I couldn't imagine their respective games without them.

Hmm, why not? A dragonesc companion, or the one which has something to do with dragons (control them etc.). But not necessarily companion. Just more dragons. Because as of now, this game can be called Middle Age with the same success.

If Justice can become Vengeance, can Desire become Love?

Dragon Age has to do with the timeline. I don't think it has much to do with the actual dragons. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

With timeline of when the dragons flew around and attacked people, hence the name Dragon Age. But the game has no dragons, except for a few small "dragon" enemies in a very few quests.

Not dragons, just a single dragon.

Haha, well, if you put it this way literally - then yes, the name stands.

It IS that way. The Divine and the end of the former age had another name in mind, but then a dragon (which all thought extinct) showed up and caused trouble causing the Divine to change the name on the fly.

Dragons are thought to be extinct though, and even if they are obviously not us not being swarmed in them makes sense.

It doesn't. "Dragons are thought to be extinct though" - Post Dragon Age. Or any other name. It has nothing to do with dragons at all.

The in-universe name of "Dragon Age" does not mean the entire 100 years or whatever is dominated by dragons flying everywhere. The Ages are named for certain omens or events, usually singular, that lend their name to the Age.

The previous age was known as the "Blessed Age". Do you think everyone was glowing and magically happy? Or how about the one before that, the "Storm Age"? Think it was a hundred-year storm? Or a period of unusually heavy storms? No. One particularly bad storm was the omen that inspired the name.

Just as a single dragon flying overhead is what inspired the name of the Dragon Age.

It does make me wonder if the Chantry "cherry picks" omens just so the next age will sound cool.   For example, say that in the in 99 Blessed, there was an unsurually bountiful wheat crop?  Probably more important to the people at large than a giant lizard sighting, but Bread Age probably doesn't have the ring (or marketablity) that Dragon Age does.

I can objectively say 'yes.'

A fully interactive desire demon that you don't kill five second after meeting. ^_^

THIS IS NOT A FETISH.

I am deeply interested in talking about... demony stuff. Oh, and personality. Personality is awesome. I think the demon should have one.

Well played. Catches out those who don't read OP's!

I'm not too sure how I feel about this; I never really liked the "demony stuff" in DAO/DA2 and I find desire demons to be generally boring. I guess it would depend on the execution, so I'd say it's a 'definitely maybe' for me.

Ugh, please, please, please no more dragons! They were gimmicky enough in Skyrim and even more so if rumours are true and the new DLC includes dragon riding. The odd High Dragon battle is good enough, but they're just mindless beasts, (not counting Flemeth), and completely uninteresting .

But Desire Demons, I wouldn't mind a fully developed Demon character. Justice was incredibly boring, but a demon of any form, even Vengeance maybe, would be kilometres better. We might be seeing more anyway what with all the rogue mages if Kirkwall is anything to go by, (please limit the number of crazy and or blood mages in DA3 please!), so it would make sense. And we could get some really interesting lore on the Fade and Demons, from the point of view of a superior being, not a boring ol' spririt. They don't even deserve capital letters.

Well I have a feeling we're gonna have one. Except that it probably won't be a desire demon and it will be in the body of a skinny blonde guy. And he will be clingy. And damaged. Oh so very damaged...

What? It's not a fetish. I'm very interested in talking about... emotiony stuff. xp

Maria, stop reading our internal planning documents and posting the secrets to the internet. It makes us cranky.

It would be difficult.

I mean, it's one thing to complain that the Templars never noticed that you were casting spells right in broad daylight. It's another thing to be carting a demon around that could participate in conversations.

Like that geth that didn't intentionally infiltrate?

Touche. Granted, there isn't the intellectual equivalent of a customs agent.

Like I said - if they can make it work, then I'd enjoy seeing it.

I think it would be cool to be able to talk to demons more, maybe choose not to fight them in some instances. But I feel like there should be some sort of affect or consequence of doing so, like losing control of your character a little bit, or having to fight their influence in some way, if you talk to them for too long.
