Wouldn't that be considered insider trading?

What are the chances we'll see some sand? I'd love a good desert area for a DA game.

Thedas doesn't scream "desert" to me. Seems like lots of plains and mountains, and a few wetlands near the equator.

West/Southwest Orlais has a desert like area, though it's not natural. Or atleast it didn't sound natural.

No reason why they can't do a Bethseda and do directed exploration. The Morrowind style of exploration would be terrible, just lots of aimless wandering. Having some on-screen indicators directing us to local points of interest would be great.

They do that already, it's called the map screen in the Dragon Age series.

sorry if I sound a bit sarcastic. I mean you basically descrived the system of travel for Dragon Age Origins and Dragon Age II. Or at least, that is how it read to me.

Well that's hardly fair :P

What are the chances of it being explorable in the sense of FFXII?

Can't lose with those odds!

Can't really win, either, actually... but I'm a glass-half-full kinda guy! Especially a glass of egg-nog. Mmmmmm...

You heard it here first, folks. Conditional probability confirmed for DA3 feature.

I'm here to murder your face.

This.

I don't really care much for exploration... please don't kill me. Like one person I saw that I'm too busy to quote or remember who's name it was
well he said that searching through barrels and looking for crap is not fun. And it's really not in my opinion It just wastes time and it gives me a headache going back and fourth looking for something <_<
*EDIT*
Also I don't want the devs to put too much resources and too much time on expanding the exploring. Because then we won't have a good story.

I wouldn't mind a bit extra exploring around but not the game becoming a sandbox explorer like the Elderscroll series. That sacrifices storyline in favor of a sandbox world to explore around in.

I've said it before and I'll say it again. Final Fantasy XII did this 100% right. Tons to see. Tons to explore. But lots of ease in moving around and getting things done once you've unlocked places.

What do you want? Explorability or a good story?

CHOOOOSE! You get only one. :)

*The same applies for any and all extraneous mechanics we are too lazy to implement: Bioware.

If it was kind of like Kingdoms of Amular, I would be extremely ungodly happy.

Even thought I thought the game was lacking soul, exploration on par with Amalur:Reckoning would be a welcome change.
The exploration aspects of RPGs are very appealing to me. I love the sense of discovery, discovering artifacts, fighting ancient evils, etc. Exploring ruins and dark forests is a selling point for me.

And isn't that a shame? My hat's off to the gaming development company who manages to pull off both. It will happen someday. Trust me. And they will rake in the most cash - more than Bethesda and more than Bioware. (Unless Bethesda and Bioware put their heads together, partner up, and jump on the idea first.)

Actually KOA is probably one of the best examples of a happy middle ground for perfectly balanced exploration.
