damn, it is november the 29th - and i am still not sure about the release date for the PS3 ME1 stand-alone download title.

the PS-store only updates one time per week, usually tuesdays in north america and wednesdays in europe - so it might be 4./5. december or 11./12. december - but i still do not know when ME1 hits the PS-store - anybody got info for me?

because all the 7th december dates i find for the trilogy release date does not fit with the PS-store update days... .

same day as the trilogy set..

you do not seem to understand - the PS3 release date for the trilogy in europe is the 7th december - what means that the ME1 stand-alone download cannot be released that same day as the european PS-store only updates wednesdays - but the 7th december is a friday - so that is why i asked: will it release the 5. or 12. then - or does something change with the PS-store update manner around then?

where is my release date for PS3 ME1 stand-alone that does not seem impossible? just yet i have none - and it is already november the 29th   :(     ... .

The PSN Digital ME1 gets released on December 4th for the parts of the world that matter.

Stay calm folks. I think Sony will make an exception and update the store with ME1 digital version whenever the game is officially released. They have done this before on several other games. They will definitely stick it up in the middle of the week or whenever it is that the game will be released for you. It's the official release date for cryin' out loud.

As you said the US will get the digital version on Tuesday 4th. Mainland Europe will get it on Wednesday 5th and UK and Ireland will set a special update on Friday 7th.

It is all to do with retail sales. Retailers will complain if the digital version is out before the disc version so the UK will have to wait until Friday morning to download it. The New Ratchet & Clank game will be released Friday in the UK and the store will update on Friday as well.

I'm so excited right now. I rerun ME3 with Omega incorporated with a ME2 imported Shep and in one week, I'm gonna start two new Shep (male & female) for the trilogy. I really hope for a facecode option as I really like both my maleshep & femshep from ME2/ME3.

I was random googling ME and came upon this a few days ago,  didn't  take attention until you mention. Should be useful in your case.

One thing that I am hoping for is that a patch comes out for my digital version of Mass Effect 2 and my disc version of Mass Effect 3 so that the choices I make in the digital version of Mass Effect 1 will be reflected in Mass Effect 2 and Mass Effect 3.

Wait, I know you from the trilogy thread!B)
Same answer here: there will be a patch for ME2 to allow import of ME1 saves. It will be released around the same time as ME1, so probably next week. This info is from the Twitter feed of Ryan Warden, who's responsible for the ME trilogy.

According to Ryan Warden's twitter the patch is already with Sony and is up to them to decide when to release it. It usually takes a week for sony to check a patch so a simultaneous release with ME1 is very likely!

There will only be a patch for ME2 because the save import feature is currently hidden, but it's not in ME3 so no need for ME3 patch.

Just few more days guys, very happy the Trilogy will be complete on PS3 :) I knew it would happen sooner or later, it was only in EA's best interest to get the remaining ME1 rights from Microsoft

Even if the ME2 patch comes late I'll probably won't need it until I beat ME1 anyway.

I wonder if I play my classes from ME2/3 : a maleshep infiltrator (recon hood ftw !) & a femshep Vanguard or if I explore other classes. With ME3 multiplayer I'm loving Adept & Engineer but I'm so used to play Infiltrator/Vanguard in solo... Tough decisions ahead

Btw, I hope the Insanity mode will be available from the get go.

From my understanding, both Veteran and Hardcore need to be completed in order to unlock Insanity.

Unless they changed something fundamental in the underlying code (which I doubt), then you must complete an entire game on Veteran to unlock Harcore, and then complete an entire game on Hardcore to unlock Insanity.

Also, I recommend playing Soldier, Engineer, and Adept (not necessarily in that order) to unlock all available powers as bonus talents. Unlike ME2 and ME3, only certain core powers specific to Soldiers, Engineers, and Adepts can be unlocked as bonus powers for future characters; there are no squadmate-specific bonus powers.

Oh, maybe I'll start with a Soldier. I know the combat system is somewhat different, I'd played the game on Xbox back then but my console dies just as I end it and so I never had the chance to play it to its full and discover all the potential. I usually need (and love) doing multiple runs on a beloved game to know it by the inside out. Since then I'm waiting for a PS3 version. Now it's almost here, it seems unbelievable. :wizard:
