I'm more concerned about the performance...

It performed pretty bad on the 360. Constant framedrops and screentearing.

The PS3 verison of Mass effect trilogy is already on sale at Futureshop in this city, I didnt pick one up but was super tempted, I thought the release date wasn't until Dec 4th?

God I wish the PSN would break the street date once in a while... "by accident" of course.

Can't wait for the 7th... only 5 more days to go!

Yeap one one hand it is strange, on the other hand it is a long time since it has been released<_< anyway, I will buy it just to have the complete trllogy and because I am a huge fan of the  serie....

Well, I'm going to hold off until I see the price and review. Also, Far Cry 3 will be taking up a lot of December's PS3 time.

Not sure by what you mean by "hold off until I see the price" Isn't it set to 59.99$ the box and 14.99 the digital copy of ME1 alone?

As of Mass Effect, I dont see they releasing a better bundle in this generation. Perhaps they launch a new triology for the next one (PS4 and xbox720) complete with all dlcs... But I'm pretty confident that for Mass Effect  on the PS3 this trilogy set is The Deal.

You can wait  to get it used, but will take a while for it to start poping...

Far Cry  3 seems great too, but I will wait util it gets a feature bundle for 39.99 with dlcs and etc.
As I will do with Borderlands 2..

Not sure if this has been asked, but does anyone know if playing ME1 will affect the opening cutscene for ME2? Right now on the PS3, it automatically defaults to Liara talking to Shepard aboard the Normandy, whereas in the XBOX and PC versions it's (I'm pretty sure) a random squadmate from ME1.

Never bought a game used so no worries there. I'm only interested in ME1 and if it's $15 then I'll probably get it after completing FC3. Unless, there are technical problems noted in upcoming reviews.

Yes with the import it should be your LI so either Ash, Kaidan or Liara . The whole opening between the IM and Miri should change as well and as far as I know with the import it should skip the Genisis comic too!

This. The squadmate that talks to Shepard on the Normandy will be Ashley, Kaidan or Liara, depending on LI. As also stated here, the conversation between Miranda and The Illusive Man will change. It will flow better and reference the decision at the end of ME1.

Same way you import them in ME3. When you start up ME2, it should say "Import ME1 Character".

Nope, ME3 can only import ME2 saves.

I don't think it has been confirmed whether ME2 on PS3 even has all the cameos.

What if this is just a dumbed-down import feature that only carries over decisions from the comic?

EDIT:

Maybe they were planning to release ME1 on PS3 all along, but still. What if characters like Conrad Verner and Shiala aren't even on the disc?
