PS3 ME Trilogy/ME1 Release Date: December 4th
DLC:
ME1 - Bring Down the Sky (No Pinnacle Station, source files were corrupt)
ME2 - Kasumi: Stolen Memory, Zaeed: The Price of Revenge, Firewalker Missions, Cerberus Network DLC, Normandy Crash Site, Overlord, Lair of the Shadow Broker (No Arrival, not on the disc)
ME3 - Online Pass
Not bad for the price. Can't say I'll miss Pinnacle Station. For the PC/X360 players, was Pinnacle Station any good?

Only if you like ME1 combat. Pinnacle Station is not a story/squadmate DLC like Bring Down The Sky, Kasumi, Overlord, LOTSB, Arrival, From Ashes, Leviathan or Omega. It just adds a space station in which you can shoot things in combat simulator (with some "missions" that are like proto-ME3 multiplayer). There are few characters on the station, one with a little story, but nothing important at all. No plot developements relevant to the series' main (or even secondary) story happen in Pinnacle Station, no choices, nothing gets transferred to ME2 or ME3 and no characters reappear again.DoubleOdd wrote...

PS3 version of the Trilogy is still easily the best deal when it comes to included DLC. It has BDTS, Kasumi, Overlord & LOTSB. You only need Arrival and stuff from ME3.

Long story short: not missing anything. Got it. Thanks.

Thanks for that overview. I feel better now about it not being included.
My apologies to EA/Bioware for my snarky remarks earlier in the thread.

Will customers need to download a patch to allow ME1 characters to be imported into ME2, or will it work stright from the disc?
the patch will only be for me2 at least in my mind.

So, what about save import then? ME2 on PS3 was quite botched... Any comment here? Will there be proper ME1 to ME2 import?
What do you mean Mass Effect 2 was botched? it was the best game in the series that I have played and no I have not played Mass Effect 1

If you're referring to the import into ME3 issues...that was a problem with ME3, not ME2.Lord Gremlin wrote...

But to answer your question: yes, there will be. They're releasing a patch for ME2 to allow for ME1 imports.

Oh well, time to apply at McDonald's to get the money for this! I will be sad once I get to ME2, though... There is this weird bug that plays some of the sounds a second late... Imagine seeing a quarian get stomped by a Ymir mech *1 second after visual occurrence* -STOMP- "Ahh!!" It is THAT weird...

The last patch introduced an audio bug where characters' sentences frequently get cut off at the end. I wouldn't call it a botch, exactly, but it is pretty annoying in a game where you're so invested in the dialogue.

So the patch won't come with the disc, you will need to download it yourself? If that's the case the trilogy is useless to me because my consoles aren't connected to the web.
I seriously hope they don't do this. It'll be an incredible new low for Bioware if they release a game that doesn't work right out of the box.

Why wouldn't your consoles be connected to the internet if your PC is? Something smells fishy...

Well, you do end up getting an apartment for yourself where you can pay for a chance to get certain levels of weapons and gear. One option is expensive, but you can stock up on the best armors and guns in the game pretty easily. I'm not sure, though, if doing it this way gets you the best stuff any faster. It's not like accumulating schwag is hard in ME1.

Unless this has some limited stuff you can't get otherwise, I won't even think twice about skipping right over it.
