Can I buy and download the game from the USA psn and have it work with my UK versions of Mass Effect 2 and 3 on my danish psn user account?
Doubt it, I think the system tells it which PSN to download from. No way to change that.
Damn.
This. If you have an American account with the right amount of money, you can buy stuff regardless of the region you're actually in. Buying something this way makes it incompatible with DLC purchased from your actual region's PSN store, however.
For example, you can buy a game from the American PSN store, but DLC purchased from the European PSN store won't work with it.
Interesting. But there really isn't any dlc for Mass Effect 1? Bring down the sky is included in the game right? At least in the digital version?
I have VISA so I would expect I could use that on a USA account just fine?
Yeah, I think you can do that. I just don't know if the US save file of the game will be compatible with the EU copy of ME2.
Exactly. It's very important that the games work together, so the save game can be tranferred. I have also emailed Bioware regarding this, but they haven't answered.

They said all that about the PS3 version of ME2, but I had hardly any issues.
I'm just watching a live stream now.

Wondering if anything about this fixes the ME2 audio syncing issue some PS3 players (me) have always had. Had to uninstall the previous ME2 patch because it cut off the end of dialogue sentences. I have no reason to believe this will somehow fix that, but then again we were told there was no reason BW could find why we had the issue to begin with...
I had this problem even before any patches for ME2 was released. In the retail version of PS3 ME2 I was already experiencing certain dialogue scenes getting cut off. Once the patches got released the problem got even worse by making even more scenes get cut off.
Also the audio is out of sync during cut-scenes in ME2 on PS3 and to this day BioWare still has not fixed it.

According to IGN (Colin Moriarty's Twitter), the game suffers with lots of texture pop ins, long loading times and frame rate dips.

iirc ME1 on Xbox 360 had a bunch of problems of its own. Frame tearing, jaggies (or "aliasing" if you want the correct term), extreme texture pop-in (textures loading too late and/or taking too long to load), problems with shadowing on character models, frame rate issues and the loading times weren't that great either. ME1 on Xbox 360 had plenty of technical issues but it was/is still a great game and even with all of its technical problems it remains to this day the best ME game in the series.

Oh, I agree, I have it on the PC with a TERRIBLE graphics card and ME1 runs like a pile of crap, but I think it's the best in the series. Well, I prefer it slightly to ME2 just for the larger emphasis on exploration.Raphamon wrote...

Last night I did something I never thought I'd do; deleted every Mass Effect 2 and 3 save game from my PS3. When I finally have my hands on Part 1, all of those saves will be obsolete. I was kind of sad about that. I've had my Shep's since I bought Part 2.

It's certainly possible that it is in fact better than on the 360, but it simply hasn't aged well, even with the improvements.known_hero wrote...

I guess the only thing I can hope for is that the digital version runs better than the disc.

He says its the same but with the additional problems listed. Can't say I'm surprised, the team had only 6 months to port an early unreal engine game that was designed around the 360's hardware.Lars Honeytoast wrote...
