Dear mother of god! I've never died so much in a game. I've lost count how many times those synthatic ******** killed me in Eden Prime. I could play Insanity mode in ME2 and ME3 just fine but I have to switch to casual mode just to get through ME1.

Has anyone had this sort of experience? It was getting pretty annoying. Still love the game though.

Even more reasons to pick the destroy ending :D

There are some sudden difficulty spikes... most of it in my opinion, has to do with the fact that squadmate AI sometimes means that you'll be better served hiding your squadmates somewhere and going guerilla. Also, the cooldown times on powers are brutal at the lower levels. The approach to cooldowns taken in ME2 and ME3 definately improved the average caster's viability.

The game is quite difficult yes. I play as an infiltrator, but the cloak skill is first added in ME2. And also, using a sniper is hard as hell because Shepard get's drunk everytime I try to aim.

I just try and stay back, and let Ashley deal with them - covering her flank and stuff like that. B)

I miss button mapping from ME2 and ME3.

Really happy they brought over ME1 to the PS3, but it wouldn't have hurt if they added some of the improvements from those game.

Happened to me several times on Therum right outside the entrance to the dig to get Liara. Just barely made it in.  And at the end when fight the Krogan? The game decided to go super slow mode then correct itself later.

EXACTLY! Was embarrassed too ! Eden Prime was really difficult! Damn the Geth and the ridiculously long cooldown for medi-gel! <_<

I'm on the citadel now. The game is great! (Second time I'm playing it)

Geth Destroyers. I thought Hunters were bad at rushing you, but these guys... the first one you meet on Eden Prime scared the crap out of me. :D

Even on the Xbox versions i had a hard time with the difficulty in ME1. But I realize the first is very RPG heavy as in its all about leveling up more than a quick trigger finger. I try to hit all the small side missions and BDTS before i hit noveria and therum. However you do it just be patient and remember to do the little stuff that gives you the edge. It definitley adds up and you notice.

Jeez, what diffuculty were you guys at??
Played an infiltrator myself and really had no problems on normal. Lost Kaiden at one point though, Ashe at another, but it wasn't that bad.
You playing on hardened?

So how good is it guys? I have the entire trilogy on 360 but wouldn't mind buying the Trilogy for PS3 if it's better.

So... is it better? How do the three games stack up to their 360 counterparts?

I got to Ilium and met Gianna Parasini and Shiala! That was sooo awesome! So much better than my vanilla playthroughs of Part 2. Once again, thanks Bioware!

I wont get PS+ because if you get any game at PSN that has a PS+ discount and later you decide you don't want to pay it anymore you loose that game (yeah it sucks)

Not necessarily. If you get a game at a discount, but you still have to pay for it (let's say, it's 50% off for PS+ subscribers), you get to keep that game even if you cancel your subscription.

If you get a game for free, then you're correct, you can't play that game anymore if you stop your subscription. However, if at some point in the future you decide to become a PS+ member again, you regain access to those games, even if they aren't free anymore at the time you re-join.

And no, I'm not affiliated with Sony in any way, I'm just a very happy subscriber ^_^
Just this week, I got Arkham City, Limbo and Vanquish for freeB)

the only new full game on PS+ is Bioshock 2. it was RE5 before

the 1 hour trial for Arkham City is up though. not sure about the other games

Yeah, this game can be pretty difficult, even on casual. The recharging times for tech, biotics and healing is ridiculous. I've actually had better luck going solo a number of times while my other squad mates are in the back watching my back and flank. They get killed/ko'd pretty easily too, at least compared to ME2 and 3.

This combat system, those cooldown on powers, the aiming, the mako driving, the inventory... all of these are quite painful but still enjoying the game so far. Perhaps it just takes some time to get used to it.

Just recruited Liara on Therum, I guess it's the right time to complete as many assignements missions as possible before heading to either Feros or Noveria.

Bwahaha!! This game is starting to remind me why I hate Fallout 3...
Still cool, though... Too bad my RPG skills are so bad, I might have to lower the difficulty... And the AI! Wow, so ridiculous... And what's wrong with the vehicle? I don't think going up an almost 90 degree angle should be possible...And I can't find Liara! Well, I'll find her eventually... And Benezia... I see what Aethyta meant...

I'll let those flaws slide, being the first game, and all. It's still fun, anyway.

The game is freaking amazing. My only complaint out of the entire game is using the mako's main gun. Dont think I have ever played a game with any type of tank where the tank turns with the turret. It's dam annoying trying to aim and drive where I want, not where the turret says I want to go.

There's no dedicated melee button in ME1 (at least there wasn't one on 360 or PC). When you run into an enemy, or find yourself right next to it, you will auto-melee when you try to shoot it

Just got command of the Normandy and before heading out for Liara, I decided to make a pit stop at a nearby asteroid... And then it happened... I got in the Mako! NOOO, I screamed, recalling my frustrating memories with the Hammerhead. Actually, as it turns out, the Mako isn't that bad. I'd much rather hike, if it were practical, but as things are, I can live with the Mako and its floaty controls. =]

I have only one all important question and that is...does the saves carry over to ME2? Sad how the full ME1 game costs the same as just one rip-off of a ME3 DLC. I want to make sure all my bases (interests for the game) are covered.
