It clearly show his age, but the Mass Effect atmosphere is all there, pumping and breathing.

For those who have played ME1 on PC or Xbox before and are playing trilogy pack on PS3, is it less buggy? Could also apply to PC and Xbox players too sense it was released on all 3.

Hopefully someone will know what I'm talking about here, but yesterday I was exploring a planet (who's name escapes me) and found a location called "Warlord's Hideout" or something like that, only it wouldn't let me enter, and by the time I beat the game I never had a quest to visit...Anyone know what its for?

If it's the mission I'm thinking of, that is only open to a Renegade Shepard. Paragon Shep had access to something else.

This may be it: www.ign.com/boards/threads/warlords-hideout-on-nonuel.155518299/
I played a Paragon Shep on my laptop earlier this year (bought it months before the trilogy announcement, after I'd finally given up hope on PS3 ever getting ME1, lol) and somehow completely missed talking to Helena Blake. Just ran into her last night on my first PS3 playthrough.
Also, game feels fine. Didn't really feel glitchy on my laptop, although the graphics were terribad due to my having an under-minumum/under-performing factory Intel one. PS3 version seems fine so far and I am blown away at the details and textures I can now actually see!

Nice find, good video. PS3 and Xbox both excel at different graphic aspects of the game. I remember when I first played it on Xbox. Xbox usually does colors a bit better.

The performance difference is crazy. Edge of Reality did a great job with the PS3 port. Too bad motion blur is missing.

Thing is, on PS3 especially on trying to decipher a network or survey a mineral, on my playthrough, it always lags and I always end up using omnigels and had to re-do it 7 times.

I get that every now and then as well, but it isn't too big a deal. There are tons of junk items to convert to Omni-Gel anyway, lol.

It's either a bug or the content had been cut out for the PS3 release. Not a big issue since it doesn't exactly imply anything.

I'm pretty sure that sites like IGN and Lens of Thruth etc don't bother using the PS3's RGB full mode. None of my PS3 games look washed out like they do in these comparison videos.Guy On The Moon wrote...

I mean remember, ME1 was never released before ME2 came out for the PS3 and to settle ME1 events, one must go through the interactive comic Genesis choose the fated events. Some parts, especially Ilos and characters like Helena, are missing in it. Now that ME1 is finally out and added some more missing elements from it, playing ME2 with a transferred ME1 file felt like another experience on the PS3 console.
Got to "shoot" Conrad in the leg after pressing the R2 button.
Anyhow for ME1 on the PS3, I think Edge of Reality did a great job on the port.

they did an amazing job. for the most part the game looks better and over all it runs smoother. i remeber always having to reset my xbox when the damn game started lagging
i also remember that damn mako. every time i fired i got pixels coming out the barrel. not smoke, pixels. that annoyed the hell out of me

I remember playing many playthroughs of ME1 on X-box when i first came out and now that i have the PS3 version i have noticed many differences. The original x-box version is far more stable and less buggy plus combat seems to be alot easier to handle then when you play the PS3 version even though it tends to get slow after prolonged play time and sometimes freezes. However the PS3 version seems to have better resolution and sound this is also countered by many annoying bugs. (I figured this would happen anyway given the issues they had with making it compatible for PS3 and the fast deadline)
Several examples i have noticed are: enemies often are unresponsive, shooting 2 feet of the ground when running into a door open/close animation on the citadel, getting stuck in between the chair to the left of Joker, (usually you can get out but you have to stop moving and walk backwards) annoying jumps in cut/loadscenes and i rarely see my bullets connect with the enemy. Shots seem to just go straight through them and they lose health unless of course they explode.
Personally it makes me wish i didn't give my old X-box and games away for my sister and her kids but i am overjoyed it is on Playstation and despite its shortcomings it really isn't all that bad. I am just pleased to play it again it has been a long time and i am feeling very nostalgic and sad at the same time. (given most of the crew dies anyway)

I'm actually having fewer issues with the PS3 version than i do with my PC version and I've played the PC version on three different computers with different specs. I've not had any clipped dialogue (I lose last bits of sentences on PC a lot), the squad AI seems better, the enemies I've seen and encountered are far more dangerous than on the PC (Benezia actually put up a fight!). The bugs I ahve encotnuered are slightly different. Like I have to go in and out of a hacking or decryption mini game once or twice before I try it to make sure I succeed and the first line of a dialogue scene is usually out of sync. Loading times are a little bit more than the PC but if you use the elevators to get around, the times are comparable.
To me the experience is roughly the same. There are some annoyances, but nothing that's making me want to tear my hair out. Mass Effect si actually a challenge on the normal difficulty for once, at least on my end.

But my plan is not to save the Galaxy, but to be a billionaire in ME. So it sucks on my part.
Anyone knows who purchased the ME Trilogy, where can you find the UPC code?

No worries. As soon as you start selling useless weapons, armor and mods, you won't know what to do with all dat cash. Not for long though, Liara will steal all your money at the beginning of ME2. Dem luxurious Illium apartmenets won't pay for themselves.zxKittenpuncher wrote...

So you know when Mass Effect 1 loads up, the "Microsoft Games Studio" Logo appears, well it will be really weird for the PS3 people to see that now, hahahahaha.................
That would be weird. But, we don't have that. We get the Bioware logo, EA and Edge of Reality's logo.

Does any money you make after hitting the max not add to the pile? I've been at max for a while now and still selling everything I get, but as soon as I buy something, my total drops as though it doesn't keep adding up.
Any money you make past the cap disappears and mysteriously ends up in one of the Shadow Brokers dummy accounts. Once you reach cap the best thing to do is break down all equipment into Omnigel. It is too bad we can not transfer creds across games. It would be nice if Barla Von shows up and talks about investing our vast fortune into a business venture or banking opportunity that has an effect on ME2 and 3. Perhaps buying the Qurian slave in ME2 for example would be a good use of our amassed fortune...or a nice club somewhere. : )
