Will this be getting patched at all? Or is there not going to be any support for the ME1 port?

I'm really grateful for it. It's awesome to be able to play it on PS3, but there are some really bad bugs in there and it would be great to see the port supported.

I doubt it'll get support considering how old the actual game is.

I've got to say, being able to play all three games back to back (to back) is an awesome experience. I'm on my way through now, and the ~100 hour affair is experience of the generation for me.

Speaking of 100+ hours experience, it's kinda funny how EA advertises the trilogy as "over 75+ hours of gameplay". Of all the time publishers blatantly exaggerate playtime in marketing, EA decided to advertise that it's less then the Trilogy actually offers lol. 3 games easily have 100+ hours of content, even without DLC.

Yeah, it always takes me forever to get through ME2. I can get everything done in ME1 in about 2 to 3 days, not really rushing (so far). ME3 about the same. But, there is just so much to do in ME2, it usually takes me a week to do everything. Way more than 75 hours. Damn this ocd completionist mindset!

I think they did it that way to attract more casual gamers.
Think about it: I f you see an advertising that states that the game, or the whole trilogy has 300 hours of content (or more), that would sound to overwhelming for that kind of player

Halfway through ME2. It's kinda odd seeing Parasini and Conrad in this playthrough. It's kinda like playing a Director's Cut of Mass Effect 2...

That's the part I'm at.  Kinda neat seeing them, that alone made the game universe feel bigger.

The framerate in the PS3 version is excactly the same as in the Xbox 360 version, though the screen-tearing is completely gone. Sometimes it's 30fps and sometimes it dips. It still feels pretty rough but i don't have an issue with it.

They removed motion blur though, and you can still toggle it on/off for some reason.

It's not exactly the same, according to DF there are some tangible framerate improvements especially during cutscenes.

There are a lot of ME1 cameos in ME3 as well.

It runs exactly the same as it did on launch.

Is ME2 and 3 patched in the package, or do you still have to download them?

It's exactly the same game from their launches. You have to download the patches.

Right now I'm doing an 'everything' play through and only have Virmire and up to go in the first game, everything else is complete and I'm sitting at about 38 actual play hours and 36 in game hours.  I'm betting I'll finish the first run at 42 or so.  If you're platinum-ing it though you'd ahve to do a minium of 3 runs on the three difficulties and plan classes based around unlocking the ability points and squad mates. Right there is about 75 hours without even touching ME2 and ME3 which I think you can Platinum in one run each unless Insanity isn't unlocked at the start in those two.

I would assume so. I'm in Australia and I've seen it in Store for some time and we get everything based on European releases.

Oh, yeah. I haven't even been keeping track of trophies. I'll go back and do... probably quite a few new game plus' for those. Gonna be fun having spectre armor and weapons maxed out. Not looking forward to Insanity, though.

My first run through was about a 70 percent (guesstimate) complete. I really didn't do the game justice because I was in such a hurry to see the changes from Genesis to actual game import. Ironically, I missed Conrad's 3rd appearance and Tali's pilgrimmage mission (s). D'oh!

I've since done a complete male and femshep (paragon) playthrough. My bad side is itching to come out when I'm done taking them through ME3.
