The framerate in the PS3 version is excactly the same as in the Xbox 360 version, though the screen-tearing is completely gone. Sometimes it's 30fps and sometimes it dips. It still feels pretty rough but i don't have an issue with it.
They removed motion blur though, and you can still toggle it on/off for some reason.
The PS3 version of ME1 has notable improvements over the Xbox 360 version. The PS3 version has much improved performance as well as much less texture pop-in. The PS3 version also has no frame tearing at all, unlike the Xbox 360 version. Also on the Xbox 360 version the film grain effect makes the game look ugly as hell on a HDTV. On the PS3 version the film grain effect actually looks pretty good. The PS3 version is also less dark than the Xbox 360 version. On Xbox 360 the game is dark as hell and you need to adjust the brightness on your TV. On PS3 the game looks fine right out the box.
The PS3 version does still appear to have all the same glitches that the Xbox 360 had though. For example PS3 version also has the bug with that mission on the Citadel where you have to scan the keepers and sometimes one of the keepers gets stuck in the floor and can't be scanned. And sometimes your squadmates will switch to a different weapon even though you never ordered them to do so. And the game is known to crash when you do that mission on the moon and get your advanced class. (The game crashes the moment you destroy the final AI conduit and get your advanced class). It's a shame BioWare did not decide to fix these bugs with this version of the game, but it is nice that they fixed the technical issues (framerate, texture pop-in, etc.).
At any right go play the Xbox 360 version and then play the PS3 version afterward. You will notice the PS3 version does indeed have better performance.

The game is so much more fun on PS3 than on PC. Normal feels very easy now, whereas on PC I always had to play on casual. Combat with the mako is also a lot better, the controls make a lot more sense now.
Playing a soldier right now (first time for all the games) and it seems to turn out almost pure paragon. I will probably try a renegade vanguard femshep next. Hopefully I can complete the game on hardcore with her and then try insanity with the soldier.

In the UK you can buy ME2 & ME3 on disc for the PS3 and download ME1. Their is no trilogy available anywhere. My question is why?
That seems odd. Here, in Sweden, it's available everywhere.

I can confirm that. Here in Switzerland (everyone knows Sweden and Switzerland are the same country), it's also available everywhere.

Seems like EA just underestimated the demand in UK and didn't ship enopugh copies. It will surely get fixed, retailers will (or most likely already have) ordered moreSieC24 wrote...
Will more copies be distributed or are we out of luck if we couldn't buy it in the first week of release?

You swiss must be really angry with the ME3 dialogue wheel.
I mean... you lost your neutral option.

okay after completing feros (2nd playthrough) it completely skiped the scene with the council and consequently the game froze
I had that same problem too. Did it work for you the first time? All mine did is auto-save in the conference room, no Council conversation at all.

I have had a few issues like this. It is a good thing i played ME on X-box or i probably wouldn't have noticed the missing scenes. (Most recent was the scene where Liara melds with Shepards mind to try to make sense of the Beacon)

So I ended up doing the Saren fight three times because thankfully it saves RIGHT at the start of the fight.
This was also the only bit of combat I had any bit of severe frame rate drop as well.
Despite this, overall, I enjoy playing the game on my PS3 more than on my PC. The PC version has fewer bugs, but I think the PS3 version looks slightly better (I'm playing on a high-def laptop too so no, it's not my monitor versus the HDTV). I can sit back and play though, and I think that's the best part.

you all seem to be having problems with this game and I only had minor glitches.....I didnt even have audio problems...Just weird stuff like characters being invisible but that was random and very rare. Makes me wonder if much of this is just exaggeration or just the PS3 acting up. I have a feeling the older the ps3 the more glitches you will have.
I think it has to do with loading and loading sequence and when things get laoded up. When the stars align just right and it all loads smoothly it's golden, when it doesn't, the world stops, literally. My PS3 is just a little over a year old, so while not the newest model, is the mdel previous, so I doubt that's my issue. I've even kept it clean and relatively dust free, cleaning the vents regularly so over-heating isn't my issue either..

You caught us. We don't have anything better to do, so we come here and make up problems.

Quite buggy but enjoyable. I could really use a patch for it though.
The music and sound effects totally dropped out when the Alliance were attacking Sovereign. It totally ruined the moment and broke my immersion.
