PS3 Mass Effect Trilogy Update

I reloaded ME2 on my PC with all the DLC loads that were backup from my Ext HD.
It was fun to play ME2 with all the characters I enjoyed. I am about a 3rd of the way through for the 4th time. I plan to play ME3 again for the 5th time through and I have all the DLC downloads
I must say that ME3 plays so much better
I enjoy the multi-player of ME3 and tell my friends they should get it.

Has anything come to light about the "something special" for femshep fans?
It's a wallpaper. Pretty disappointing.

The PS3 version started off well....
- Screen Tearing is gone.
- Film Grain looks better.
- Lighting looks better in certain sections.
However, for me the game almost completely fell apart after the "Wrex dispute" on Virmire...... The framerate became SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO choppy, it was borderline unplayable.
I tried restarting the game over twice, and still the issue remained.
Now, as someone who played through ME1 on Xbox at least 10 times, I gotta be honest that version is overall more consistent with it's performance. It's aggravating because I honestly felt the PS3 version kicked things off with a great start---- that was until:
- The audio/lip syncing issues.
- Framerate goes to hell on Virmire.
- Some elevator doors don't even appear (while riding the elevator from C-Sec to the hanger the doors disappeared, and I was able to clearly see outside).
- The overall visual quality in the final area of "Bring Down the Sky" looked ATROCIOUS---- horrid framerate, coupled with extremely washed out textures, and this muggy "haze" over the screen.
- Far longer load times.
- "Crosshairs" HAVE appeared on screen while I'm in the inventory??
- During more than a few conversations characters comepletely DISAPPEAR!!
I'm glad ME1 finally has finally come to PS3 (especially since I prefer PS3 over Xbox---- Hell, Mass Effect was the only thing I ever really played on my Xbox) but I can not help being disappointed with the rushed job done by Edge of Reality---- And what exactly does the QA staff at BioWare actually do? Honestly, cause after the "face import issue with ME3" one has to seriously wonder.
Ugh, I'm sorry..... I just really wish BioWare/Edge of Reality would take the time out to produce a patch to fix a lot of these issues---- if they were hammered out then I would say that arguably the PS3 version would be the better version----- EXCEPT for the absence of "Pinnacle Station" which, I, I---- I just don't get why with ALL the money EA makes that they weren't able to put a small team together just to rewrite the code from scratch? I mean, the assests are already there.....
I just don't get it.
There's a complete and total lack of effort here.
Glad to see I'm not the only one who had ME1 PS3 issues. I tried to tell everyone before, but all I got was accused of lying, lol. (Digital version here and more bugs than I've EVER had in a game to date, on ANY console)

Makes me wonder if certain people loom for issues so they can be the complete fanboys
That's a rhetorical question, right?
Although I have to admit, I was kind of disappointed when Mark Meer didn't drop by to personally deliver my copy of the ME Trilogy edition. Bioware really has gone down the chute, I tell ya!

Specifically, I mean when Liara reads Shepard's mind to see what the Prothean beacon on Eden Prime put there. Doesn't that happen either shortly after recruiting her or right after Feros (when you receive the Cipher)?
I seem to distinctly recall this when I played through on my laptop, but it didn't show up in my disc PS3 copy. I am in the middle of doing Noveria right now, with nothing left to do afterwards except Bring Down the Sky and Virmire and beyond. All random planet sidequests are done and such.
I do remember after completing Feros, my Shepard loaded into the conference room. I expected the Liara mind-reading scene to occur there with your crew all seated in those chairs... but, instead, Shepard just loaded into an empty comm room.
Has my years of drinking alcohol really destroyed my brain this badly or is something missing?

Liara probes Shepard's mind right after she is recruited, and then does it once more when you get the Cipher (assuming you did not before getting her), and she does it in the conference room both times.
However, I dunno if it's missing or not since I didn't buy the trilogy, let alone for PS3.

Yeah, neither scene happened AT ALL on my PS3 disc version. Weird.
Well, once I finish this playthrough and start a second one, I'll try deleting the game data and let it re-install, see if that fixes it.

Ah well, I still enjoyed the game and now I've started ME2 and I'm sure everything will be much more polished. Dragon Age is still my heart's darling however. xD

Liara mind read my Shepard twice, so reinstalling might be a good idea for you. What was silly though was that she felt really weak afterwards both times and Shepard's options for responses were exactly the same... I know this game is from 2007 but often times characters behave in a way as if totally unaware of what has just happened or what they've just said.

Watch out! Dragon Age was mine as well... it's what brought me to the BioWare dance. And then I tried ME2 and ME3 and, well, suffice it to say, I did not go home with the one who brought me to that dance.

I had the same glitch on my third playthrough (the first two were fine). Just an empty comm room instead of the usual debriefing.DragonRacer wrote...

After reloading a save from before the debriefing and mind-reading scene worked again.
