Of course there could be dozens of crackpot names I could give, but speaking seriously, I wouldn't like to see a companion with issues anymore. Give me a person that is stronger than the main character and backs him /her up instead of the other way, and I'd be pretty pleased with whatever option they chose. For me the worst idea for a potential love interest is another guy with a former dead girlfriend, abusing mentor, broken heart, so on and so forth.
