Glad you liked it, OP.

I remember, not so long ago, myself and many others here were mad as hell after ME2 was released:
- "simplified combat"
- "this is an action game, not rpg"
- "the main quest takes like 10 hours"
- "where are the ME1 LIs"
- "wth why are collectors building a human reaper by themselves"

But now, I love ME2. It just took time for expectations to fade away, plus some really good DLC.

No one said anything about Harbinger taunting Shepard? I'm surprised. I mean I love Harbinger's taunts, but some found it rather annoying.

It's probably similar to how people loved Windows 2000 and hated Windows XP when it first came out. Eventually they actually loved XP. Time heals all wounds.

In XP defence the direct comparison to it was the vista and everyone hated that thing to this day, so your logic does not always aplly

personally always enjoyed me1 and 2

These topics about people loving the game or hating the game seem to keep coming up on the forums. I think it will always come down to what you wanted from the game. For example, I enjoy side quests some people won't. But I feel they are important in any rpg. ME3 has become more of an action game than an rpg. Some people will like that and others will not like it. They have multiplayer in a Mass Effect game which I think is fun. But other people won't like it because they feel it should be a single player game only. I personally hope the ending will change because I don't love ME3 and feel there are issues with it. I can't say I haven't gotten my money out of it. Did I expect more from the game? I expected the game to have much more to it but not as much as people might think. I also think it is Bioware's fault for certain things they said about the game. I can understand how people got upset about the game. But I also see how people can love the game with what they got with the EC. But I am sure a number of people still want to see if the ending will change. I personally hope that this game will be liked by a lot more people once all the dlc comes out for it. I am still hoping that some dlc will bring me back to the single player game again.

I agree OP. Just ignore the haters. Nothing but a very loud minority.

Actually the "loud minority" is everyone posting on the forums. The majority of fans disliked the ending, but most of them simply don't post on these forums about it.

How do I know it's a majority? I actually checked instead of just assuming I'm "in the right" and saying everyone who disagrees with me is a "vocal minority" like that somehow makes their opinions invalid.

You have to be a customer to access this topic. If you didn't purchase Mass Effect 3, you can't voice an opinion here because you don't have the code needed to register the game and access its forums. So in the end, all of us gave our money to Bioware and supported the game...and played it TILL THE VERY END.

Now,as with every movie, some people liked the end, some did not. But I wouldn't call "haters" and mock people who did not like the endings - that's a very rude thing to do - we have to respect others' opinions, not call them "haters" for not finding the end of the trilogy up to Bioware standards. They supported the game by buying it, and it's a piece of art afterall. Art is subjective (somehow, but's that's for another discussion...).

What if I called people "sheep" for enjoying the endings? Would be just as rude - and not tolerated.

I agree with this.     Obviously, everybody in these forums cares about the Mass Effect universe - otherwise, why would they be posting in the Mass Effect forums?   It's one thing to care about or enjoy a game - it's quite another to care enough to go to the forums and actually discuss it.       That's why we're here - to discuss the epic and amazing Mass Effect series.    Regardless of how people felt about the ending, it's clear they still care and deeply about the series.    Otherwise, why would they be coming on here day after day?     If you don't care anymore about the series, if you're truly apathetic - then you just move on.    Nobody here has.   I don't think people who enjoy the ending are "sheep" and I don't think the people who disliked the ending are "haters".     I think they each have something valuable to contribute to the discussion.   Whether they choose to is another matter altogether.   ;)  But, hopefully, while I realize this is the internet, hopefully nobody will mock somebody or dismiss somebody because of their opinion.    I've had some really good discussions on the forums and I hope more of them will occur in the future - if people can be respectful and friendly!    Why not?

Good for you OP.

I have to admit, the image that pops into my head when I see someone who is STILL whining about the ending after all this time is a guy in hipster glasses stroking his neck-beard while smirking at all the peons below his pedestal.

Your generlizations are the problem, not the "whining" as you so delightfully put it

yeah, the less you follow the dialogs and the less you remember anything from ME1 and ME2 the better ME3 becomes it would seem.

BioWare can be really proud about that...
