I will try Harrier, but farming ammo crates doesn't sound too much fun. Since i rarely play Platinum (not too entertaining with PUGs) i found Acolyte only to work pretty good - mooks are not a problem, and occasional bosses get spammed by incinerate.. plus teammates help tooSihmm wrote...

I tried this today. Didn't have to respec cause the build is almost identical, and i happen to have Saber X too.
It was fun, but i must say Saber is just not working for me. When hipfired i managed to miss Praetorians @ point blank. Can't explain that, just happens. Did much better with Talon, Paladin and Acolyte.
I can't explain Saber hipfire missing at point blank either - it shouldn't be that inaccurate.
But yes, for me it wasn't about specifically the Saber so much as it was about finding a strong weapon that I was personally comfortable with. Talon is a very popular choice, but didn't work so well for me and also unfortunately prevents carrying an Acolyte. Would be interested to hear what weapon combination you eventually settle on

Wow, that is the most soothing voice I've ever heard. Kinda want to take a nap now.
I'm not sure how to take that... thanks, I think?

Yes I'm not too fond of the Harrier either because of the ammo issue, plus mine is only at level IV still. It certainly kills stuff dead though.

I've always liked her. but now she is superior with the latest fixes on her powers. i play her with a simple acolyte and i use omnicapacitor gear. i spam powers like hell. turret for distraction and some damage. acolyte-ice-fire. simple but effective.
There is something appealing about the.. purity, I guess, of an acolyte QFE. I am very fond of using a big loud gun on her though.

It's effective against mooks, but your FQE will suck against armored foes which are plenty on gold+ (esp Reapers and Collectors). Any decent weapon (Acolyte is great against shields & barriers but thrash versus armor) will mow through armor multiple times faster than spamming powers only. Since you can equip the Acolyte free of (cooldown) charge you should bring a second weapon to deal with armor.
If you're determined to have a (close to) 200% cooldown bonus (difference between 100 and 200 % bonus makes hardly any difference on her though) at least bring something like the Hurricane to handle armor. Cryo Blast is a great debuff (75% armor weakening + 25% damage bonus). Take advantage of this by shooting when she's on cooldown, makes her a much more effective warrior.

Pretty much this exactly. It's such a shame that Sentry Turret and its brethren no longer mesmerise banshees and the like, though I can understand why it was 'fixed'. Would be nice if it got a bit more of a health or damage upgrade to compensate - not that it's bad right now, but I still feel it's more something you throw during a free cooldown as a bonus than a truly integral part of the class.
A health buff is what I feel the turret needs the most above all. I never really cared for the hypno abilities of the drones (just felt too cheap), so that fix from the patch doesn't bother me, but it could definitely use that health buff. Platinum phantoms usually take it out before it can do much... not fair.
Anyway, great video! FQE is one of my favorite characters (second or third) and it's really great to see someone display her potential.
About weapons, as Fortack said, a good weapon is a must with her, she may be a "caster" class but that doesn't mean her powers will do all the work for her. When you have something like Cryo Blast's 25% weapon debuff, you're not meant to waste it on a weak weapon! Fortack's Claymore build is awesome, personally though, I prefer the Hurricane or the Wraith (I do want to keep the cooldowns a bit fast). I do like how you used the Saber on her, pretty neat.

QFE Reapers White Hazard Gold
(from a few weeks back, hence White Hazard)
No commentary this time, but Chieftex's dulcet tones more than make up for that :]
Reapers are of course the enemy she's natively strongest against, and though using Disruptor Ammo against them is obviously not ideal it still works just fine.

I was about to say "Then you haven't played with Fortack"
By the way, I'm definitely getting used to her. She's one of my favourite kits now. At least it presents a bit of a challenge. Thanks for showing me!

She was always gold+ viable.. I treat her as a weapon oriented kit, she wreck armor units... Although she's outclassed by top tier kits but she is still solid on plat/gold and even easier to use than most kits..
Pretty much this. She can compete with 3/4 of the characters out there and a lot of fun to play.
And you're welcom Deerber, always a pleasure playing with ya
