 Two questions:
  • Will trophies for the Trilogy be independent from the standalone games? What I mean is, for example, if I Platinumed 2 and 3, will I have to do it all over again on the Trilogy for those trophies to be marked as completed, or will the game read my trophy collection from 2 and 3 and mark those off the Trilogy as well?
  • In the Trilogy, I see ME2 won't include Arrival DLC and ME3 won't include any DLC. However, if I already paid for those DLC on the standalone game, if I re-download them, will I be able to play, say, Leviathan using the Trilogy discs?

Another question,

If I just buy the standalone digital version for ME1, would I be able to import my decisions to the "old" ME2 and henceforth ME3? Would I be able to get Conrad Verner and Captain Kirrahe in the "old" ME2 and 3?

Thanks

Yes. They're patching existing copies of ME2 to allow for ME1 imports.

Why release the original Mass Effect as a digital title only and not as a separate retail title?

From what it sounds like the trilogy edition on PS3 has a disc based copy of ME1, but digital is the only way to get it seperately.  Weither that turns out to be the case or not we'll just have to wait till an announcement.

1.   I actually don't mind re-platinuming ME2 & ME3 again - it would be totally worth it.
I know that my Batman Arkham Asylum GOTY Edition was incompatible with my 'normal' Batman Arkham Asylum savefile and also the trophies had to be reacquired.

2. Leviathan DLC contains references to ME1 which you don't get to see on the PS3 version. So I am assuming that too will be patched.

I think it will be wrong for us to pay for the DLC again and Bioware should ensure it is compatible and includes the additional content referencing ME1.

That would be the right thing to do.

Unfortunely Pinnacle Station is not coming to the PS3 due to the corrupt source :( I quite liked it...

Sweet. I'll just order the digital version then. Sad I'm leaving the US for a month on Dec 5th. I think I'll stay up all night playing ME1....

1. No, there's the same games just on a different disc.

2. Yes, the DLC will be compatible because, once again, it's the exact same game on a different disc.

Will they address the framerate issues of ME3 in this "new version"?

They said in the blog that the ME1 version is running pretty good on the ps3. It will be kind of lame if the perfomance of the games decreases from game to game.
