Lazarus is a free pass to head cannon anything about Shepard's physiology, including his class. Once I pretended he was synthesized right then and there on the table. Other times I pretend he is still pure human who had organ transplants.

Fact is his entire skeleton is shown to be shattered, every bone everywhere; his heart was a shriveled up stone, and then he comes back to life. He doesn’t even wake up until “outside forces” start to interact with him (Reapers booting up their implanted tech perhaps?) Anyways only Miranda knows what really happened.

I'm curious as to how people managed to roleplay a nonbiotic to biotic change when the game gives it no acknowledgment.

Like let's say you were a soldier in ME1, switched to vanguard in ME2, and you rationalize this by saying Cerberus wanted to "improve" Shepard as much as possible, so they threaded him/her with eezo.

But this is never brought up, so how do you keep the glaring lack of acknowledgment of it from disrupting your immersion? You would think a person would be affected emotionally by such a forced change. That Shepard would accept it without even mentioning it -- and, indeed, use his/her newfound powers without a hitch or a moment of training -- seems implausible.

My Shep (not my main one though) changes from a non-biotic to a biotic between ME2 and 3. Considering how the devs want us to use headcanon to fill in all the gaps in logic in ME3, and the Shep I get is but a pale imitation of his former self, the change doesn`t bother me.

ME1: Soldier
ME2: Soldier
ME3: Engineer

I was going to play as Soldier all of the way through, but Bioware nerfed it in ME3. So I restarted after a few hours and switched to Engineer. I did no headcanoning because I was past the point of seriously roleplaying in Mass Effect.
