But Hockey's on Lockout, doesn't that mean Movember's on Lockout too? Alas, somewhere out there, George Parros has the moustache to rule all Moustaches, and is just waiting for the lockout to end.

Yeah, this is really disappointing from a progressive video game company that so far has put a lot of strong women characters in their games.

and what's with the lack of women characters in your latest DLC?

bitterly disappointed, feeling very depressed, will not buy any more games from Bioware.

Oh, and kudos to you guys for raising awareness for testicular cancer. I feel that it's often ignored when compared to breast cancer awareness. o.0
Good Luck! Although, it's not like the Reapers need luck considering they could just indoctrinate the Dragons they harvest, js.

Is Parrish Ley still working on Bioware?
Because if he is still on ME's team... Well, we've already won.

Give him a few weeks and his epic mustache will destroy our enemies:

Yes he still works here, and yes he is still on the M3 team.

Will Jos have to cut back on his hat eating diet to compete?

The hat eating was a one-time deal, unless I make any more dumb statements. This face is ready for Movemberfication.

Stupid question, but what the hell is movember?

tl;dr

Men shave their facial hair right at the start of november and spend 1 month growing moustaches for raising money for testicular cancer research

So wait, I already have a beard and mustache. Do I have to shave my beard off and go mustache only? I would really rather not do that with winter around the bend. Face gets cold...

You have to be clean shaven at the start of November

Lots of people disregard this concept as a joke yet breast cancer awareness is taken seriously with telethons, charity drives and marathons(participated in one myself)! To be honest I've become so disillusioned with all these double standards that I forgot about this. Good for you Bioware for trying to keep up gender balancing and taking a step forward into a future where all men and women are equal in all aspects. If you guys decide to sponsor any type of donation drives or events for this month I'd love to participate!

*Wince*  Okay, I did it for Femshep because we all know she'd do it for us if that's what it took to kill the reapers!!  I hope Nov 4th counts since I just found this thread today!

So can I grow back my beard and mustache right away, or am I restricted to mustache only for November?

Agree chamroeon mens health not taken seriously especially prostate cancer. In UK it bigger killer than breast cancer but get very little publicity. Although recently it began to change- not much - but having male celebs publicise issues help. Wish testicular cancer stuff was less 'carry on mens health' though, woman wouldnt stand for boob jokes for BC so why men get treated differently is beyond me.

As a woman, I can honestly say that I do not think men's health issues get anywhere near the same degree of publicity and awareness campaigning that women's issues (breast cancer, cervical cancer, etc) get.  Testicular cancer can be just as deadly if left untreated, and it definitely needs all the extra attention that Movember can give it.

Your statement about the "Carry On" men's health though could refer to the publicity having to contain a bit of humour to engage men, because historically, men haven't been terribly forthcoming with their health issues with many of them perferring to "suffer in silence" than actually go to a doctor and have an examination.  Particularly in this part of the world, it is not "manly" to admit you have a problem and need help - I imagine that would be similar in a lot of places.  Where I live, there are a lot of humourous adverts on TV regarding cervical cancer - I don't mind these jokes and I wouldn't mind breast jokes if it meant that women's lives were saved by taking action when they thought there might be a problem - and similarly, if a bit of humour inspired a guy to check out his 'nads, and potentially saved his life too, then I'm all for it.

Movember definitely has my support  Image IPB  Kudos to you BW dudes for taking your positive action!

'Carry on' is Uk comedy franchise. I agree with you humour does work the Robbie Williams ad was great, its just its always humour based. The odd campaign is fine but its everything. I actually think the sexy male ads targeting the partners of men was good idea but it was short lived. And sorry if I derailed thread :) Kudos too all involved bringing issue to light.
