I really want to be a member of the Inquistion. But since some members have been very vocal about not wanting to be one, for nonsensical reasons, I started this thread as a posotive thread to suppourt Inquisitor membership.

1. This is not a Chantry/Mage/Templar suppourt this is an INQUISITOR suppourt thread and the Thedas Inquisition has never been part of any orgaisation. It was dissolved when it joined.

2. If you don't want to be an Inquistor, don't be negative post that stuff in another thread, I am trying to keep this thread positive (not that i expect it to last long).

So any other fellow Inquisitor suppourters please post here, and say why?

For me it's because I want to investigate the mysteries of Thedas  and to be part of am order, like the Gray Wardens in DA:O, it would be cool to part of something much greater then your self, I also want to influence the growth of this order, what are it's morals? methods and motives? I want to influence these things.

I also want to be able to say "No one ecpects the Inquisition".

What about you

Hell yes i want to be one.

The very thought of torturing an NPC(if done right) to gather information gets me All pumped up for DAIII.be different and actually inspiring, those who dont want to be one.cannot accept who they are as an animal nor even human

Since one of the devs said that the Inquisition is not explicitly allied with the Chantry or anti-mage, I'm in. Order shall be restored, whatever the cost.

nonsensical reason number 1: A blood-mage Inquisitor.
nonsensical reason number 2: A mage head of the Inquisition order.

After that I don't know!!! I think is a big nonsenses to be a blood mage head of the inquisition order and kill blood mages because..uh...
1)they are blood mages and aren't part of the inquisition?
2) Because they cut their wrist with or without full moon? meh

Seen this just remind me of DA2 Hawke casting fireballs infront of templars and none took notes of it but they did continue the search a blood-mage Elf..

I wouldn't mind if joining the Inquisition and becoming an Inquisitor was one of the choices,  I do think they picked the wrong Order for a mage tho or someone just forgot who the Inquisition Order fought against and the reason they joined the Chantry 800 years ago.

I think an Inquisitor could be a great companion for a blood-mage! meh now that doesn't make any sense whatsoever
but who cares! he could talk down any angry inquisitor by saying: yes he cast blood magic but he is on our side../wink.

I want to be a mage Inquisitor/Seeker. To the Void with established rules about who can or can't be one (especially since those were never made public in the first place!)

Milan92: I thought so too, but a lot of people are complaining about it, and they said you would 'define your relationship to them [the Inquisition] at the start of the game. So fingers crossed it will be like how you could define your relationship to the Gray Wardens in DA:O, fully on board, reluctant, etc.

Huntress: Haven't you ever heard of using thieves to catch thieves? Why not use a mage to fight a mage? Or that is how I would justify mages Inquisitors.

Nah what people are complaining about is "if" we'll be made to serve the Chantry.

I'm in!!! :D

I think a new Inquisition will be set up and will need representatives from all different factions. I guess thats where the background stories could tie in, since for example, you are a former chevalier, but given current circumstances, you'll be transferred to this new organisation (Inquisition) given your record of being an astounding knight.

I don't know a darn thing about the Inquisition but I don't mind my future character being recruited or conscripted into it, so long as he can start out as young and sort of green behind the ears; then I can build him up and perhaps make him "the" Inquisitor (if that's in the cards).

I'll form a concrete opinion when I have more information on what the Inquisition's mandate actually is.

I would like to be one if it dose not feel as forced as being a grey warden did in DA:O, I like the idea behind the role

Depends entirely on what this inquisition is. If the order has a philosophy that conflicts with mine it will ruin the game entirely for me since I cant roleplay. If its something I can see myself belonging to, it might be good a good thing roleplaying wise. Thats purely on the lore side as I cant know how well the inquisition is done in the game itself.

tl;dr
Inquisition suits my philosophy, can be determined by me or is vague enough to suit anyone=could be good or bad
Inquisition conflicts with my philosopy=prevents roleplaying and ruins game

You don't know what kind of mage you will be. It could be that you can only be a force mage, and became blood mage, like renegade inquisitors from Warhammer 40k.

Also, i can tell you we will be Inquisitors for 100%.

I don't, but at the same time it's ok if I am. I'm sure Bioware makes it interesting for me, I'm up for trying new things. But atm I'm sceptical.

I have conflicting fears about being an Inquisitor

I don't want to be stuck with a too defined character, particularly one that might be defined as supporting ideologies I dislike.
but
I'm concerned that making the order such that it makes sense for a wide variety of characters would make it generic, boring and silly. I struggle to find decent justifications for why an organisation would be prepared to recruit such divergent possibilities - all I can really come up with is a weak repeat of the Grey Wardens. And I also wonder why anyone without a very specific agenda would use a name with the sort of history that "inquisition" has in Thedas.

So basically, I'm just awkward.

From what I've seen of the concept art, it would seem that the inquisitors have very stylish clothes. So I'm sold :D
