Why a different clan for the Dalish Origin?

Just out of curiosity, why did the devs decide to not have the Dalish Origin come from Keeper Zathrian's clan? I haven't played it through but as of now you don't learn anything about a major character like in the other origins and it doesn't seem like you get to meet up with anyone from the origin later in the game? It seems like the origin itself could have been vastly improved if it were set in the clan you encounter int he main campaign. Was there a specefic rationale for this?

Your clan was actually smart enough to head north and not get trapped in the Blight-ravaged south.
When you recruit the Dalish they act like hmm... relatives that you see once every couple of years?
The City elf origin has you going back eventually maybe the writers wanted to avoid having the two elf origins as basically city and country versions of the same story.

Vastly improved is your opinion. I happened to like the Dalish origin, and it's interaction with Zathrian's clan as it is. The Dalish are wanderers, and the origin story reinforces this aspect of their culture.

It's my opinion? Really?! Not someone else's?!
The Dalish origin in general could have been "vastly improved" in many ways imo, regardless of what clan you come from.

There's also the fact that your clan is... well, tiny. Very tiny. I doubt they'd be able to contribute at all anyway, but I do wish you'd just started out in Zathrian's clan. It would have given the Dalish origin story the same 'homecoming' feel that you get in the other ones. Except the human noble one, of course.
