When you return to the Alienage as a City Elf and speak to Shianni for the first time, she mentions your wedding and talks about how everyone thought you died at Ostagar. Alistair (who my character was romancing) interupts and is shocked that you were married.
It's nice to see your companions actually care about your past. Sometimes it felt like your origin story never happened or never mattered.
- What? You were married?
- It didn't work out well. There was a rape and they brought the wrong cake!
Hah something along those lines.
When you're romancing Zevran, he looks so broken hearted at that point I wanted to cry! Alistair struck me as more indignant when my PC romanced him and got to that point.

Dwarf noble: "Does it bother you that I'm a dwarf?" (Not exact line -- forgot to screenshot this one. The rest of the lines are confirmed.)
Alistair: "Of course not. Don't be ridiculous. If anything, I was wondering if I was too tall."
Dwarf commoner: "Even though I'm not human like you?"
Alistair: "(Chuckles) Especially because of that."
I had hardened Alistair before that conversation in camp came up and was surprised how different it was with the commoner so I went back to an earlier save, did not harden, and triggered the scene again to see if it'd change. It was exactly the same so definitely on an origin by origin basis. I had been curious what he said to the elves and human noble.

And with regards to the whole *grumble* queen ending being only for human nobles, part of me wishes they'd make a sequel based off the fact that Harrowmont does make me his heir upon his death so I technically can be queen when I return to Ozrammar so I'd be able to tell Alistair, "Screw Landsmeet -- rule besides me in Ozrammar!"

Alistair doesn't want to be king. You can have a happy ending with him, you just can't be queen of the humans unless you're a noble human. Since mages can't have titles, it makes sense that a human mage also can't be queen. If you really want to have the power, make Alistair king and be his lover and chancellor -- you'll end up on the throne more often than he does anyway. If the power isn't what you're after, or you don't care about improving the lot of the city elves, let Anora be queen and go rebuild the gray wardens with him.

Pretty sure that your companions react whether you're romancing them or not. Alistair said the same for my male city elf and I was certainly not romancing him. Zevran, on the other hand, who I was romancing, seemed quite irritated that I'd never told him. "What? Wedding? Oh, now who's keeping secrets?"
That's interesting that there's a gender difference in reaction as well. Because he really is broken hearted with the female city elf. He says something like, "A wedding? So there's a secretive side to you after all," but he most definitely is not irritated.

Same for an Elf. "Do the ears give me away?"
And as someone else mentioned, there really wasn't enough distinction sometimes between races. Sure the Quartermaster at Ostagar treated my Elf like a servant (cutting him down afterwards was just fun), but there were so many other times that no one seemed to notice. Most specifically when escaping from Fort Drakon. I got the armor disguise, but Elves aren't allowed to be soldiers. Why did the Commander not notice my ears and wonder what the heck I was doing there?

Oh, I definitely agree. My dwarf noble felt he didn't really want to be king so I picked Anora and he expressed his relief afterwards and we lived happily ever after. However, with my dwarf commoner, I hardened Alistair specifically so I could be his mistress while he ruled. I did this because my dwarven sister ****d herself out to support me and our mom. She didn't marry the dwarven king, but she had his child and they were happy. It would have not made any roleplay sense for my commoner to feel above that. In fact, being Alistair's mistress seemed perfectly natural and normal so that's the route I went with. Not my favorite ending, but I was pleased with how the roleplay really fit with this scenario. I am just a tiny bit irritated that only one origin can technically get the queen outcome. Makes PERFECT sense why it's set up this way, not arguing against it, but still there's a tiny illogical part of me that's pouting on the inside.ejoslin wrote...

"I see you are an elf." Thanks for the information! No one else saw that.
But of course "I killed an arl's son for raping my friend" is the best option in the entire game.

There is occasionally the "What the heck should I know about such things?" - options. It's funny.
I also liked the differences in Cailan's dialogue depending on your origin. Too bad there aren't more of those moments...

City Elf Warden - So you're the one who butchered my kin?
Howe - When the animals turn against their masters, it is sometimes necessary to cull the herd.
City Elf Warden - Oh look, the regent owns a talking ass.
Human Noble I am <FirstName/> Cousland, teyrn of Highever.
Howe The Couslands are dead. The teyrn of Highever belongs to the Howes, and rightfully so.
Human Noble Only until all the Howes are dead.

King Cailan to dwarf commoner: "It's good to see one of the honorable stout folk outside of Ozrammar."
Dwarf commoner responses: 1) "How much do you know about dwarves, your Majesty?" 2) "Who are you calling 'stout?' Is that some kind of dig?" 3) "Honorable? You must be thinking of the nobles."
(Upon meeting Lloyd in Redcliffe tavern)
Llyod: "We don't get many dwarves out here. Occasional trader, maybe. You a smith? I hear Owen could use a replacement."
Dwarf reply: "Not all dwarves are smiths, you know."
(Upon meeting the Grand Oak Tree in Brecilian Forest and identifying myself as a dwarf when prompted.)
Grand Oak Tree: "Ahhh, a child of the deeper stone. I should have heard it in thy tone. The woods have never been thy home, 'tis far beneath the earth you roam."
(Loghain confrontation in Landsmeet)
Loghain: "Where is the famous steadfastness of the dwarves? How much did it cost the empress to buy your loyalty?"

Alistair: You wouldn't happen to be another mage, would you?
PC: Yes, I am a mage.
Alistair: Really? You don't look like a mage. ...How...interesting.
It makes me think there's an instant attraction there, considering how much he likes magical things...
I agree that the human noble seems to have the most origin-related dialogue. Like with Slim Couldry in Denerim. He goes on an on about the nobles as arrogant bastards, and you can reply: "So you think I'm an arrogant bastard, do you?"
Goldanna also has some different responses depending on race. For human woman, she'll say, "And who are you? Some tart chasing after his riches, I expect." For elves, she says, "...Some servant to carry his things..."
Oh, another one I ran across was in my mage playthrough. During the Aneirin quest with Wynne, Aneirin suggests that the PC mage should be the one to become First Enchanter and there's a follow-up conversation with Wynne about it.
There are quite a few of them folded into the game. I love how they surprise me every once in a while.

I found this conversation particularly hilarious on my mage playthrough given that I was a blood mage.

I was actually really disappointed that there was no epilogue option for a mage to take up a position of leadership in the Circle. I would have loved for my blood mage to become First Enchanter!
