Gleam and her whole story were a bit too melodramatic for me (which is saying something for a video game-spawned comic book...). The one interesting thing I took away from them were the crystals or whatever the templars used to suppress magic, altho I've never really seen them in the lore elsewhere.
Or youu mean when Greagoir beats a pregnant mage, and then the templar father kills her when she runs away. Yeah, that whole series was pretty ridiculous and contrived.
