I don't know about that I tend to shy away from the harrier for ammo constraints and I do really well with things like the phestron or mattock.Lord_Sirian wrote...
Could be because the only other halfway decent AR's (ie Typhoon and PPR) are both extremely heavy and both ramp-up weapons not suited for most classes.

I have a Harriar X for months now and only use it on my demolisher. Or sometimes my cooldownless KroSent.

It is for the type of gun it is; ie. if a player is using a weapon heavy class yhea, chances are he is using a Harrier. If they are using a power class, than probably not.
I use Harrier on a lot of so-called power classes part of the time. Human Engineer, Quarian Male Engineer, Drell Vanguard, Human Sentinel, Turian Sentinel, Batarian Sentinel for example. It's not even that heavy.
I think Harrier is just quasi-hegemonic across the board. But, I'm uneasy about substantive nerfs just because of what it's always represented--a standard bearer for the AR class, a prestige UR that needs to exist as it is to set a high-water mark for the armory. It's also one of the more well-balanced weapons in the game even leaving that aside though, imo.

I see a lot of newer players these days, though. Phaestons, Strikers, and other oddities in Gold.

Other AR tend to suck or just fit a certain niche that most classes can't use properly. If we want to see more diversity Bioware needs to make some guns that are as good as it while still being versatile as well, Or buff/change the other AR to match it.
This, they need to make few more actualy good automatic ar's.

as the lord guy said, Typ and Particle require ramp up, how many classes can afford that. On plat, sometimes you won't have time to ramp up to do serious damage without taking a lot. With the harrier, its a quick fire explosive burst.
To be fair, I think the problem is people copy others a lot, for example, yesterday I used the dest for the firs time in ages, I decided to go for earth challenge after doing outsider, to me the gun seemed OP lol, it is a true boss killer, it suffers from a lack of mobility whilst firing but practice could sort that out
also
Saber, as an outsider, this was my go to gun, it is incredible for headshots, stick on an accuracy booster and you have a shotgun like rifle with incredible accuracy
To be fair, the ew gun that came out, Val? the staff member did say, it is like that but bwith less power but more ammo, so I am sure people will switch once they have that lev up
The main problem is the copy cat virus, people use with others use mostly, I kid you, if people made a thread saying X wep is crap, it had tons of replies with other users agreeing, people will stop using it (some at least) despite it not being crap
For example, the destroyer, that gun is incredible, it is a true boss killer, esp with ap ammo 4

Not a nerf thread just a general question. I don't play public often, but I did for the holloween challange and in ten matches it was in each match at least a 1 in 4 and usually more so. It was different groups so it my not be a common thing. I have my favorite guns, but I couldn't imagine using the same gun all the time. can anyone confirm this or anyone have thoughts on this?
Does it matter?
