So the first time I played ME2, it was my first ME game, so I didn't import a previous FemShep.  I played it, and it was fun.   Got all the DLCs, etc.

Got ME 1 to tide me over until ME3.  Finished ME1.

Got ME3.  Imported from ME2, nice.

Played a lot of ME3 MP.

Now I have gone back to ME2 and imported my ME1 FemShep.  Liking the differences.  Combat is quite a change coming from ME3.  Cover isn't as fluid, There is no roll, not all power work on shielded or armored enemies.

But SMGs do damage, and my time in MP has trained me well.  Getting Mordin on Omega when I first played I had to go carefully through all the vorcha and krogan.  This time, I ripped through them.  Nice.

Returning to ME2 after ME3, I immediately missed the roll and the unlimited sprint. But overall I find the combat much better balanced in ME2. I like the protection system and and actual biotic physics attacks more than what we have in ME3. I still love ME3 and play it all the time though.

I miss charge not working on shielded enemies. But Reave is so nice at reducing armor/barriers (Picked it as my bonus power).

That said, the carnifex is so ammo limited right now, and SMGs rock pretty well.
