Please review the "READ FIRST" post pinned towards the top of the forum. It's hard to troubleshoot when we don't know the full picture-- what kind of hardware, OS, etc., that you're working with. Also... is this digital download via EA Origin or some other service like Steam or Amazon.com?

Thanks for posting more info.  Okay... first question is: are you installing in someplace on your system other than the default location [other than in C:/Program Files  (x86)]?  If so, this is not necessarily a problem, but may play a role in the solution.

Chances are, when the first installation failed, the installer still put in the registry keys for the game, and this is causing issues with uninstalling.  I would suggest you use a program like CCleanup to remove the game files and associated registry keys, reboot, and try the installation again. There are also instructions on how to manually uninstall the game, including manually editing the registry at: https://help.ea.com/...'bbc'></strong>

Before re-installing, a few suggestions:

1) If you have enough room on your OS hard drive, try installing the game in the default location.
2) Once you've installed the game, manually update to patch 1.05 *before* launching the game
3) After patch 1.05 is installed, reboot your machine before launching the game
4) Make sure you do all of this while using a Windows user account with Admin access.  Play the game from the same account for the best results.

It's been a while since I've installed DA:O UE on my machine, but I believe the Origin download client still lets you save a backup of the install files in a different location.  I suggest you do that, so if there is an error in installation, you can try to reinstall without going through the whole 23GB + download again.

Let us know how it goes!

Then I suppose there could be an issue with the Origin client;  I suggest you try help.ea.com and use the official EA tech support.
