Love the concept. A little rough around the edges, but off to a good start! There is one thing I am a little confused about though. In the MEHEM vid, it shows the Normandy closely flying past and behind the Crucible, and in this vid (about 10 seconds later) all of a sudden we see the front of the whole crucible from inside the shuttle bay. So I love this concept for editing the vid, but am slightly confused about the positioning of the Normandy haha. But I am probably splitting hairs, great job!

The Shep texture isnt all that important; its pretty good the way it is. I think Im splitting hairs over it, just forget what I said :)

He's bleeding in mine (blood dripping from nose, etc). In the demo video too:

nah .. its not dripping .. i would let it slide ....

these are only cuts and lesions from the explosion and harbies beam. they are dark red and look dry .. speaks for healing process.

What exactly do you need? I 'm currently playing a Jack-romancing Shepard, with the playthrough saved right after Sanctuary. I have Leviathan and the EC installed, but not Omega, if that matters.

well, just imagine Joker showing off, by doing a quick 180...


then I would like to put this to a vote:

would you like to see the shuttle landing with:

  • a) the Citadel firing in the background (as it is now), or
  • B) some random battle scene (and please attach a screenshot of one that is fitting, so far I haven't really found one, which is why I went the route I did)?
really would like you guys' and gals' input on this...

i think both versions can work - it depends on the position of it within the game.

For me, if the Normandy in mehem v0.2 (at 5:01) was flying in the opposite direction, I would not even be bringing up the problem because the problem wouldnt exist. But I doubt thats doable haha.

In the end though, I have to agree with Dr_Extrem that either can work, it just depends on the positioning of the particular scene you use (how zoomed in it is; its angle, stuff like that).

Wow man, you gotta love it when you get up in the morning, get your cup of coffee, sit down and check out what's new in the MEHEM thread and THIS awaits you.
That is some fantastic work already Bierwichtel. I just sent you a really long and contrived pm about the whole thing but just wanted to reiterate in public that we are onto something really cool here, I think.
As for the scene used for this. I think the citadel works but on the other hand cfs3corsair has a point. From the way it's cu together, one should just see earth and some part of the battle from the place that Normandy would be at the time. Also, the citadel is not firing yet since that specific moment is clearly shown later. However, I just checked and it's tough to find a scene that would actually work. We are running out of battle scenes fast and this one needs some very specific freatures in terms of camera movement and content. I'll keep looking for possible candidates. One of the plus sides is that you probably don't need the whole frame, right? Resolution should not be a problem, given that it's only a s,all window so it would be ok to just use, say, a quarter of the screen from another clip. Anyway, I'll keep looking and let you know. Thanks heaps for helping with this.

RedBeardJim: Aw, that's a shame, a Jack save would be really useful but yea, need one without firefight. No worries though, I am sure we'll find one eventually and thanks for offering.

By the way, the Shepard healing think works best with the defaults IMO. They have worse injuries during the citadel scenes than the custom ones do. Since in the memorial, I always use the custom texture, it kinds looks like they are a bit better already for them,. Of course, that doesn't do any good for the custom Shepards. I'll see if it can be improved. Got low priority though.

When you get to the end of the game, back up your save files then delete the firefight DLC. Create a new save without firefight installed for MrFob then reinstall the DLC and your backed up saves. Quick and easy.

If he disables the DLC, can he still load the save? Wouldn't it be the same as me trying to load it without having the DLC?

I'm trying to check using my own DLC but of course the Mass Effect 3 servers are unavailable at this time.

I may have my mind stuck in multiplayer mode. There you can easily delete DLC and continue to play. From Ashes and the Extended Cut are required once you start a save file with them. I would buy the Firefight pack just to experiment except I still can't log in.

Ok, you need to use the Gibbed save edit to uncheck dependent DLC.

I unchecked From Ashes and was able to load my save with the DLC deleted. Off course for MrFob's testing purposes I think he was looking for un-edited saves.

I'm not demanding anything. But it's definitely blood, and it's definitely something Shepard should have washed off before the service.  As I understand it, it's just an overlay (correct me if I'm mistaken on that)- if you erase just the blood from the nose and lip, Shepard would look much more natural during the service, but still look beat up during the Citadel scene.  My 2 cents.

EDIT: Looks like it's not just an overlay. I've found the Bloody Shepard texture, and I'm currently tweaking it as a proof-of-concept.

Hey guys!

Okay, first I just want to say I love what you did Bierwichtel. That crucible background in the shuttle dock was awesome. Even though cfs3corsair makes a good point, I can easily overlook the positioning of the normandy imho. But, I was curious to see if something could be done with certain scenes to get around that problem. So I downloaded your video from youtube(sorry, forgive me) and a video of MrFob's mod and put them both in Windows Movie Maker, since that's all I have(I know sucks) and started toying around with them.

Now I think I have something that works, but its up to guys. MrFob, all I did was move the scene where the normandy flys away after picking up the shuttle to where after it drops the shuttle off, making it seem like the normandy is going off to fight. Had to cut about the first almost 2 seconds showing the crucible. Then right before the scene where we hear the soldier telling joker we have shepard, I cut out the 2 to 3 seconds where we see the normandy flying right by the crucible towards its back end and just made it cut right to Joker. I didn't touch anything else, just those 2 scenes were the only ones edited. I just basically tried to eliminate the Normandy's position in reference to the Crucible. Then I inserted Bierwichtel's shuttle docking, replacing the old one. I uploaded it to youtube so you guys can check it out. Again, just an idea and seeing if it would work. Totally up to you guys. The video is bad quality, just a forewarning. ;)



@sHOtgUn jUIiA: I'm sure you will make a rousing composer piece for all of us to enjoy. ;) No pressure and good luck! ;)

Edit: Oh, yeah forgot to mention I turned the sound off since the video would sound a little weird.
