yeah but the fact it was mentioned means MEHEM is getting around. Which makes me happy.


I hope the heaps of praise and god-worship (I made a thank you video for cryin out loud!) I and others give to Mr.Fob, You, and all the other MEHEM and Create-A-New-Ending creators/coders/designers etc will satsify you all. ;)

I would ask, would it at all be possible for Shepard to get up to the Catalyst and then choose refuse and have the rest of mehem play out then?

I just love that speech way too much..

That be my dream too. A Refuse-Victory Ending.

As of right now Mr.Fob and others have said that its not technically possible at the moment.

i have a brilliant idea ...

this speech could be worked into a new stargazer-scene ... shepard makes the speech of his/her life, while we get an nice and subtile scene, that shows the future of our hero.

major story parts that would make you understand the story should not be aded to the game as dlc it's like Selling an incomplete book

Hmm, can the planet scan by faster? The Normandy is making a pretty hard turn in the exterior shot that would come right after your clip.

I have yet to be banned since installing in November. Bioware has previously said that single player mods are ok.

You won't be banned over this; Origin may at times rewind files within the main-game folder that are replaced by MEHEM, but simply putting MEHEM's files in again solves that. And it also does not happen that frequently.

Only thing altered are videos and a certain section of SP-content is conveniently skipped to get there. No hampering with EMS, MP-credits or what-have-you...

you wont be banned ... and the (un)installer makes your fear pointless.

dont worry.


this mod does not change mp-files. you can install it before you hit cronos station, play it until the end and then uninstall it again.

unfortunately the movement is in the scene itself (the camera is panning over the Reapers...) speeding things up looks somewhat weird (not quite as weird as the 80's action movie speedcam... :devil:) I'll see what I can do... first the rotoscoping needs to be done... (enjoy the feedback though, which is the reason I put up something unfinished... overall quality will be slightly less than the screenshots, due to compression)

The trick has never been about getting the xbox to mount the DLC, but how to get it into your hard drive without needing to buy specialized equipment. I have been able to analyze the installer on this disk and have figured out how it works, and am in the process of duplicating it.

SO what does that mean for the ME community, it means, that once this ending mod is perfected, I can and will load it into the installer, turn that into an iso, and then you people can burn that iso, run it on your 360s and install the mod.

obviously this will require a ridiculous amount of testing on my part, I don't want to hose somebodies drive, so I will test it myself, and of course I have to wait till the mod provider actually finishes the mod first.

But ultimately us 360 owners will be able to see this ending on our machines.

@PS3 owners, the ps3 handles DLC differently and to be honest cracking how the 360 installer works is hard enough, so I would ask someone else to work on that if they could.

I believe Troxa has accepted MEHEM as canon and is now wondering why MrFob let Bioware present the other alternate endings.

Woho, looks like I should not go to sleep or to meetings anymore. Missing far too much stuff in this thread.

@Bierwichtel: This is just getting better and better. Love the new reaper scene, especially the flipped one since it fits perfectly into the other scenes. Brilliant stuff.

About the new DLC: It's pretty much exactly what I suspected (and personally, I think it actualy sounds rather cool). Of course I was hope for a last minute 180 by BW concerning the ending but I didn't expect it and given the size and feature list of this one, I am looking forward to an "all inclusive" playthrough (haven't played any of the DLCs yet).

About v0.3 and concerning cfs3corsair's question on when it'll be out? I'll be able to tell you after this weekend. I plan to implement all the new "beneath the surface" features then and if everything works as expected, there is just some minor stuff left to do and it shouldn't take too long. That said, after the DLC announcement, I am thinking of delaying until after Citadel is released. In case it does have some impact on MEHEM, I can still work it in necessary changes without the need for external fixes (like the Leviathan fix for 0.2).

About the console: O contacted Exeiderafter he made this post. Haven't heard anything new though. Maybe he is trying to figure it out, I don't know. I don't have a console so there is not that much I can do about this from my end.

EDIT: Sorry, I am extending this post as I go through all the things that have been mentioned in this thread. A refuse victory ending is definitely ossible. It's just a question of staging it right. I have done a very simple version of this when I tested if video import was at all possible. I think it might be possible (though diffcult) to put something with ingame scenes together as well. You'd have to alter what files are loaded when and then change around some trigger. The technical side of it is all explained by now in the new chapters of my sequence modding tutorial. It's tricky but not impossible. Personally, I just think that a conventional victory doesn't make that much sense, given how the plot has developed before the endings so I didn't implement it that way but hey, I was always promoting variety and as many mods as possible so if anyone wants to try their hand, I am happy to help out if I can.

Nice, goes right with the Normandy's backing up and turning to its right (2 second scene right after shuttle in MEHEM) and then swinging a really hard right. I approve :lol:. Of course, MrFob's opinion is what matters in the end, but I think you have the right idea
