I do have one question. In the shuttle scene with the citadel, it appears the camera (the viewer) is panning around the shuttle. In the Reaper scene, it seems like the camera is stationary and the normandy is turning to the right. Which form of movement do you hope to achieve in your final product scene? (hope my description of my observations made sense...)

just flipped the backplate

does seem to flow a bit more natural now...

thoughts?

Nice, goes right with the Normandy's backing up and turning to its right (2 second scene right after shuttle in MEHEM) and then swinging a really hard right. I approve . Of course, MrFob's opinion is what matters in the end, but I think you have the right idea

I watched the MEHEM scene again, both my hands in front of me, recreating the Normandy's movements...

Hm yeah the new DLC does put a bit of a monkey wrench into things, with possible incompatibility and all. There is merit to delaying v0.3 till the DLC comes out (March 5th?)...
Of course, maybe the DLC impacts the ending is some super secret amazing way! Gotta keep the hope alive... ;)

However, the new DLC apparently rekindles romances with ME2 characters... this may cause changes in the LI flagging system couldn't it? Which in turn might mean v0.3 ME2 LIs might have to be re programmed...?

Haha Galaxy Quest reference! Love that movie!  "Pedal to the metal Commander." :)

Did you know thaht Robin Sachs (Zadeed) was also the bad guy in that movie Sarris (which sounds like Saren... hmmm)?

"Never Give Up. Never Surrender." (Another movie quote) is my personal motto. As well as how I feel about this mod and the whole Retake movement as well.

I'm cautiously hopeful that the final DLC will, if not give us the ending we all wanted originally, at least not mess up MEHEM too much, or make too much work for people a lot more skilled than I am in these things to modify it to accommodate the DLC.

All that said, the MEHEM ending has me so enthusiastic about how the modified ending ends, that I've put the original Mass Effect back on my computer, so I can play the whole trilogy start to finish.

Bioware really should have paid attention to work like MEHEM. This kind of outcome was what they wanted, and could have gotten if they'd actually delivered the epic ending we wanted. Oh well, at least someone got it right! :)

It's Bierwichtels work though, so it's Bierwichtel's call. I'll just put it in. I agree with you anyway though.

Oh, I forgot, about that turian frigate. I like that it's turian, not a human cruiser. IMO we see too many of those doing all the heavy lifting anyway. The only other time when we really see a turian frigate in action here, it get's blow up :). This way, it really look like the turians are covering the shuttles approach. A beautiful image in the spirit of inter-species cooperation IMO.

Wow! Curious to see how it would look with the movement. If this is a lot of work though, I think palaven was allright there. You don't see that big tare which distinguishes it from earth anyway in that scene and the lighting was very similar to what we usually see in the ending cutscenes. Of course, earth like this would be brilliant but if this is a lot of effort, I wouldn't worry about it too much.

So with the inside of the Normandy is rotating, you don't really need a real video in the background. A panned picture would do, espically for such a short duration. Then that would broaden the field from where you can get the best shot.

Yes, MEHEM will now have to incorporate the Conrad Verner romance option. :D

@Bierwichtel: You need Dragon Age: Origins (I think it works with 2 as well) and set it up as one of the portraits for your character. See here.

@wwinters99: Or we could incorporate this ending instead.;)

@Bierwichtel: Wow, seriously...wow. Your project just keeps getting better and better. If what your posting is your definition of "rough cut," can't wait to see what the finished product looks like. ;)

@MrFob: Friend of mine showed me that vid a while back. Cracks me up everytime I see it.;) Ah Conrad, our favorite wannabe spectre....

With everything else going on, this info for the new dlc could be helpful for this.
As someone else already said, the new dlc does look like it will be heavily based on LI and that could be useful for maybe not replacing the star gazer scene but could be used to add more to the ending.Maybe help get abit more LI closur other than the hug.

Well, as I said, I think that everyone has their own ideas of how Shepard will live out the rest of his/her days. As the "Little Blue Babies" thread shows (in a rather creepy way sometimes), many people seem to like that idea for Liara. I on the other hand like to imagine that Shep keeps adventuring a little longer (just as an example). Also, making LI scenes is both difficult (if you want to keep them working for all Shepards) and time consuming and I'd rather leave such scenes to those fans who are really dedicated to their LI (they'll probably be the ones who come up with the best material anyway).
So I will try and set it up, so that these scenes can be implemented with relative ease (emphasis on the "try", as far as I can see now, I'll need a whole lot of objects for this to work and I am not sure where to take them from yet). Then people can create, implement and release whatever they want. Maybe, if all of this works and we get good scenes, we can than create an LI plugin or something but this is all for the far future. In any case, these changes will probably not occur before v0.4 since this requires a whole lot of restructuring and subsequent testing, which always takes the most time.

Well, now that makes more sense than going to Mars. Looks like your LI reunions can finally work out Mr.Fob (the ones on Earth, of course)

Hey - working on that Stargazer replacement scene for the Tali romance.

I may need the help of someone who can upload and capture hi-res footage of the Tali/Shepard scene with the infamous glitching rock.

If you have a file or get the rock occasionally/most of the time, and you wouldn't mind helping (I need a default Shepard in fully clad N7 armor with helmet, so it'd best if you have a save just prior to the start of that mission. If your save isn't default maleshep, you can just reset headmorph just for this capture.) Also it would be best if you could use hi-res Tali and Shepard textures for the capture..

I'm going to *try* and capture it for the next hour or so and may not help, but I've tried this like 30 times without getting the rock to appear.

If someone knows how to force the magic glitching rock to appear, that would be helpful too.

I'll post if I get it to work and don't need help anymore. If you can help me out, shoot me a message and we can work out the details.

Bierwichtel, if that is for the lolz, I can't wait to see the real thing! :)

@PK: pmed you but unfortionately I can't help out with in game recordings very well. Just look at my MEHEM video. My recordings with xfire are pretty crappy usually.

Same goes for cfs3corsair and the imovie question. I am using Premiere. I did a few fun things in imovie (like this :)) but nothing where I really looked for high quality. Sorry.

EDIT: Aaaaand :ph34r:ed. But maybe try it in white. I hear apple really likes the colour white. :D
