are you sure this is a dreadnought?  ::curious:: looks like frigate to me (doesn't seem to be much larger than the Normandy... (she actually looks like she's the same size)

The footage is of Hackett's personal ride, which is a Dreadnought. Main-difference between that and a cruiser, scale aside, is the prow, as seen here:
Image IPB

Prow is more visible a few frames on. And yes, scale is a bit odd at times for the battleships during the cutscenes in general...

One question though: Even if we can't put that in the game (not sure if we can/should). Can I put this image in the MEHEM picture gallery here on BSN?

a'right do it...:D

Done.

ah, I see... so size does matter (now I'm wondering why Hackett needs to be on a dreadnought...

you don't happen to be a proud Navy Soldier are you? (former or otherwise)

What made you think...

Nah, just recalled whole jargon about boats, was going to write "front", thought better, looked up the correct term etc. Sketch there is not made by me, just found it via quick google-search.

It is his flagship, apparently, although it certainly would have been neat had said flagship's name been mentioned within the game.

Having that said, weren't custom-made scenes considered a while back? I do not mind this particular scene being reused - after all, there are still other Alliance Dreadnoughts left at that point - but maybe it could do with a darker background, to obscure the somewhat unique nebula.

if you squint just right, you can actually see some reapers behind the Nuremberg...

Hackett's flagship is probably the SSV New York (whoever can tell why it should be called that, has earned a wrex-cookie :D)

Lance Henriksen, voice of Admiral Hackett, was born in New York. So was Keith David, voice of Anderson (not in London as he has claimed)

xactly...

Admiral Anderson's flagship the "SSV Did you know I was born in London" could sadly not be completed before the reaper attack and was transported and used as a barricade for the ground war (oddly enough not in London itself, but in Ipswich, rather)...

Wow, someone paid really close attention there :). Using both at the moment.

Completely unrelated, but...

According to the Mass Effect wiki, As of ME2, the flagship of the Fifth fleet was the SSV Orizaba, a Kilimanjaro-class dreadnought.  That's likely Hackett's flagship, assuming he still operates from the Fifth FLeet, the Orizaba wasn't destroyed at Arcturus, Hackett didn't move his flag, etc.

^ Except if Shepard has a Spacer background, it's mentioned in ME2 that his/her mother Hannah Shepard is the Captain of the SSV Orizaba.

Well, yeah, the captain runs the ship, the admiral runs the fleet :D

pre-alpha shuttle bay... lots of fine-tuning still necessary... (at least somewhat representative of final product)

It may still be a pre-alpha but I'd already put it in like this :).

Indeed, but she's part of the Crucible project, isn't she?  Not commanding a squadron...

Re:  shuttle  The more I see stuff being made fro this mod, the more convinced I get that this is gonna end up indistinguishable from anything that came out of Edmonton :o

Would it ever be possible to add six yellow eyes to one of the Reapers that get's hit by the red wave to showcase Harbingers death?

This Reaper right here.

Since you also see it before the beam hits it, you would have to add the eyes at the start of this scene on Earth.

Y'know.. I should really get around to playing through with MEHEM one day. Watching that gave me goosebumps, instead of a snotty nose and puffy eyes.

Just a shame it isn't real..

while it would not be too hard to achieve, imho the reaper you pointed out is just too small (there would be continuity errors to contend with as well, Harby is never near other reapers on the ground... granted we never see what actually happens to him, aside from Synthesis...)

Anyone here have any input on this issue...?

I'll gladly give Harby a firey death, if it fits into the overall project... and fitting video material can be found

Bioware insists there is no set canon, much of the ending  is open to speculation,  and even IT is an acceptable interpretation of the endings.  That should give MEHEM enough wiggle room to be canon too. ;)
