Battle music composition update:

I've got the video working in synch while I'm writing MIDI. I ran into the same problem everyone who writes for video runs into in that my high quality sample programs are all 64 bit while all video stuff is 32 bit. This has more to do with OS than anything. Fortunately, I did not upgrade this one orchestral suite and it allows me to at least work, and get this done. When I say this I mean it allows me to synch the video with my audio workstation and it stays that way, and opens up synched.:) Then I'll be moving it to 64 bit to my highest quality instruments and mixing and mastering.

Composing Neo-classical style is a bear. If I can pull it off it will be electrifying. I can hear it in my head, but the harmonies are extremely complex and difficult to figure out. This is really stretching my musical knowledge. I sketched out what the video sounds like to me on a pad. I'm now writing actual music. It starts where the Citadel first begins to open. I am almost up to where the shuttle leaves the Normandy. This is for full symphony orchestra.

I will be copyrighting this, and sending MrFob written permission to use it. I've got the points all marked out where I need to change moods and so far they're coming in right on the beat.

Wow, this sounds really professional. I am excited to hear it when it's done but take your time and wait for the muse to come to you when necessary :).

In the original ME3 destroy ending, all synthetic life was destroyed. In MEHEM, most advanced synthetic lifeforms were spared, but I have to assume that simpler VI's, like Shepard's fish-feeding VI, were FUBAR'd.

Wow.  For some reason I think that makes the scene all the more hilarious.

Thanks guys! I just cross-posted it to its own fan creation thread in hopes of getting a few more views.
At any rate, it was done as a joke, but once MrFob gets MEHEM set up for plug-in endings, I'll make one available just for kicks.

Hehe, nice! You can do that by now btw,. No reason to wait. Just get RAD tools, convert it into a bink (make sure it has the exact same length (number of frames) as the old video (you can check that with RAD tools "info" function) and replace the old vid.
The original is called "end004.bik". It's just in the MassEffect3\\BioGame\\Movie\\ folder, not in the EC DLC.
When you bink it, just be sure to compress the audio with 0 compression at 48kHz.

If you want to use a different length, that is a bit trickier. see here.

EDIT: Ah well, i guess you'd want to take out the sound and music of the original as well for that. Well, that would make it a little bit more complicated I guess but still, it's doable without too much difficulty.

Maybe some of the fish were Reaper spies and the crucible killed them!

Fantastic. That's got to be the official MEHEM replacement for the Stargazer. Come on guys.

Is there any way you can smooth out the video panning? I know it's a real pain in the ass.

And MrFob, does this mean you need my audio file in 24 bit 48kHz?

Random question: Does anyone else think the kid in the stargazer scene is a little out of proportion?

It looks more like a scaled down adult silhouette than a child. The head is too small and the limbs are too long. Kind of creepy.

If nothing else, is it possible for the MEHEM ending to fix the kid?

I have a request for the community:

If someone has additional vessel models (or can find them) in order to load into the UDK engine to make the videos, I would be gratefull. I would need only them model and the texture.

By the way, the 3D animations are making progress. I have explosions, fire, and death rays at the moment.

sorry for absentee-ism, started a new job on monday... (means time suddenly became a valuable commodity again... #pout#) what did I miss, let's see...

@wavion: Harby the Hamster deserves a heartfelt "kawaii"... ;D
@ironhandjustice: oooh, that looks promising (have you been able to solve the overload problems, yet?)
@wwinter99: I have a version of the stargazer scene lying around without any humanoids in it...

btw, not sure if I'll get around to working on the fmvs again before the weekend (at least the shuttle bay will be done before DLC release...)

He's Canadian.

sH0tgUn jUliA: I'll see if I can smooth it out before I make it available for use in-game..

I'm working on a capture using directly the sdk. Besides, it had priority for me to make some effects like this in order to have something special to give.

My next goals are the overload capture (my machine has its limitations sadly) and starting to move objects for cinematics. Animation of the objects will be next. Thinking about debris fields also.

Another option if I fail is to make a exe release and give it someone who can make the capture with it.

By the way, in general... has someone a destiny ascension model? (Gotcha!) and, if possible, an asari destroyer?

First, commander Shepard saved the galaxy. Then, there was a heinous plot to assasinate Shepard, by a secret organization working behind the curtain, known only by the name Mass Effect 3 development team.

Luckily MrFob and his team came along and saved commander Shepard in turn.

Thanks guys. You're all heroes in my book.

I started watching the video expecting a bit of a hack-job of scenes and lines and, well, I was blown away. This is the ending that should have been.
