I've got the video working in synch while I'm writing MIDI. I ran into the same problem everyone who writes for video runs into in that my high quality sample programs are all 64 bit while all video stuff is 32 bit. This has more to do with OS than anything. Fortunately, I did not upgrade this one orchestral suite and it allows me to at least work, and get this done. When I say this I mean it allows me to synch the video with my audio workstation and it stays that way, and opens up synched.
Composing Neo-classical style is a bear. If I can pull it off it will be electrifying. I can hear it in my head, but the harmonies are extremely complex and difficult to figure out. This is really stretching my musical knowledge. I sketched out what the video sounds like to me on a pad. I'm now writing actual music. It starts where the Citadel first begins to open. I am almost up to where the shuttle leaves the Normandy. This is for full symphony orchestra.
I will be copyrighting this, and sending MrFob written permission to use it. I've got the points all marked out where I need to change moods and so far they're coming in right on the beat.
